Pokemon Scarlet & Violet bring significant revisions to the Pokemon formula, notably the inclusion of Paradox Pokemon. These unique creatures, reminiscent of the Ultra Beasts found in the Gen 7 Pokemon games, draw inspiration from existing Pokemon. In Pokemon Scarlet, they take the form of ancient variations, while in Violet, they possess a more futuristic aesthetic.
Regrettably, players of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet must complete the main storyline, acquiring all 18 badges and accomplishing the final missions and quests, before they can encounter and capture any Paradox Pokemon. Only then will they gain entry to the Great Crater of Paldea. By conquering the ultimate boss battle, they will unlock the ability to catch Paradox Pokemon within this location. Each game offers 8 distinct Paradox Pokemon, resulting in a combined total of 16 to capture.
If players are having difficulty locating a specific Paradox Pokemon, they have the option to either leave and return to the area or defeat nearby Pokemon to enhance the likelihood of its appearance.
