The pairing of Pyro and Bow is well-known among Genshin Impact players. Amber, the very first playable character encountered by Travelers, utilizes this combination in her gameplay. Additionally, Yoimiya, the Firework Queen of Inazuma, wields a Bow and possesses Pyro Vision.
7 Blackcliff Warbow
Contrary to Yoimiya, Lyney is not a DPS character who relies on spamming Normal Attacks. Instead, players who choose to use Lyney must possess accurate aim in order to strike their enemies successfully. Consequently, it is beneficial for Lyney characters in Genshin Impact to equip bow weapons that augment Charged Attacks and foster the striking of the enemy's vulnerable spot.
Primary Stat:
565 Base ATK
Secondary Stat:
36.8% CRIT DMG
R5 Effect:
After defeating an opponent, ATK is increased by 24% for 30 seconds. This effect can stack up to 3 times, and each stack has an independent duration.
Since Lyney can increase his Crit Rate through his Ascension stat and the 4-set passive of the Marechaussee Hunter artifact, it is advisable to prioritize building as much Crit DMG as possible for him. Although there are superior 4-star Bows available for Lyney, the Blackcliff Warbow still provides a satisfactory amount of Crit DMG needed, along with a moderate ATK boost from the weapon's passive. While it may not be the absolute best choice, it allows Lyney's damage output to be consistent when there are no alternative options.
6 Prototype Crescent
Primary Stat:
510 Base ATK
Secondary Stat:
41.3% ATK
R5 Effect:
Charged Attack hits on weak points increase Movement SPD by 10% and ATK by 72% for 10s.
Hitting an enemy's weak spot in hard content, such as the Spiral Abyss, can be quite challenging for players. However, if successfully accomplished, Lyney at R5, Prototype Crescent can offer a significant ATK boost. The difficulty lies in the fact that enemies in these areas are extremely aggressive, constantly moving and jumping around.
5 Song of Stillness
Primary Stat:
510 Base ATK
Secondary Stat:
41.3% ATK
R5 Effect:
After the wielder is healed, they will deal 32% more DMG for 8s. This can be triggered even when the character is not on the field.
4 Aqua Simulacra
Song of Stillness provides nearly the same amount of additional damage as Prototype Crescent, particularly when fully refined. However, the notable distinction lies in the ease of benefiting from the passive effect of Song of Stillness, which only requires the wielding character to be healed. As a formidable 4-star weapon option for Lyney in Genshin Impact, Song of Stillness proves to be a solid choice, especially for F2P players.
Primary Stat:
542 Base ATK
Secondary Stat:
88.2% CRIT DMG
Effect:
HP is boosted by 16%. When facing adversaries in close proximity, the wielder of this weapon experiences a 20% increase in damage dealt. This effect applies regardless of whether the character is actively participating in combat. With the introduction of 5-star weapons, players now have greater access to weaponry that significantly enhances Lyney's Critical Damage output. Aqua is among the weapons that excel in this aspect, compensating for its comparatively low Base ATK stat by enabling Lyney to unleash substantial amounts of damage.
3 Thundering Pulse
Primary Stat:
608 Base ATK
Secondary Stat:
66.2% CRIT DMG
Effect:
Enhances ATK by 20% and bestows the power of the Thunder Emblem. When the stack level reaches 1/2/3, the Thunder Emblem enhances Normal Attack damage by 12/24/40%. The character gains 1 Thunder Emblem stack under the following conditions: dealing damage with Normal Attacks (stack lasts for 5 seconds), activating Elemental Skill (stack lasts for 10 seconds), or having less than 100% Energy (stack vanishes when Energy is full). Each stack's duration is calculated separately.
2 Amos’ Bow
Despite the challenge of having Lyney unable to fully exploit the majority of Thundering Pulse's passive effects due to its direct enhancement of the wielder's Normal attack, this weapon stands as one of the top choices for Lyney in Genshin Impact, even if it may not be the most optimal.
Primary Stat:
608 Base ATK
Secondary Stat:
49.6% ATK
Effect:
Increases damage from Normal and Charged Attacks by 12%. After firing a Normal or Charged Attack, damage dealt increases by an additional 8% every 0.1 seconds the arrow is in flight, up to 5 times. While Amos' Bow lacks Crit damage, its high ATK sub-stat and bonus damage on Lyney's Normal and Charged attacks make it a formidable weapon.
Just keep in mind that since Bennett is one of the best supports for Lyney, Amos’ Bow may face a diminishing return for all the ATK stat it provides.
1 The First Great Magic
Primary Stat:
608 Base ATK
Secondary Stat:
66.2% CRIT DMG
Effect:
DMG dealt by Charged Attacks increased by 16%. Each party member with the same Elemental Type as the wielder (including the wielder themselves) grants 1 Gimmick stack. Each party member with a different Elemental Type from the wielder grants 1 Theatrics stack. When the wielder has 1/2/3 or more Gimmick stacks, ATK is increased by 16%/32%/48%. When the wielder has 1/2/3 or more Theatrics stacks, Movement SPD is increased by 4%/7%/10%.
Lyney’s team should primarily consist of Pyro characters to maximize the benefits of The First Great Magic. Lyney gains a significant amount of ATK for each Pyro team member, while non-Pyro characters still provide a movement SPD bonus.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
