The Millennial Pearl Seahorse is a Normal Boss in Genshin Impact, belonging to the Mystical Beasts Living Being Family. Defeating this boss will result in it dropping the Fontemer Unihorn, a unique item necessary for leveling up characters like Neuvillette in Genshin Impact. Additionally, it drops varying amounts of Vajrada Amethysts, which are essential for character ascensions.
While battling in the Spiral Abyss, the Millennial Pearl Seahorse can be a formidable enemy due to its frequent attacks. It also has a phase where it attacks from a distance, potentially requiring players to include ranged units such as Ganyu or Lyney in their party. However, being a Normal Boss, the Millennial Pearl Seahorse doesn't pose an extreme threat and can be defeated quickly.

Bringing the right team can greatly assist in defeating the Millennial Pearl Seahorse in Genshin Impact. As a Normal Boss, most team compositions are capable of handling it. However, the boss is quite mobile and possesses a range of powerful attacks, making it beneficial to have a shielder like Zhongli to negate any potential damage inflicted by the boss.
The battle commences with the Seahorse equipped with a Xenomare Pearl, which serves as an Electro shield, absorbing the majority of the incoming damage. Players must assemble a team proficient in Elemental Reactions, such as Hyperbloom teams. Pyro, Cryo, and Dendro characters are equally effective in depleting the Electro shields. Once the shield is depleted, the Seahorse becomes incapacitated and plummets to the ground. Consequently, the boss becomes vulnerable for a brief period, allowing players to launch offensive strikes without fear of retaliation. However, if the Millennial Pearl Seahorse manages to summon its shield once more, it becomes susceptible to extra damage due to its decreased resistance.
Like other bosses in Genshin Impact, the Millennial Pearl Seahorse possesses both ranged and melee attacks. Its melee attacks consist of agile leaps towards players, inflicting Electro damage. On the other hand, its ranged attacks involve summoning a swarm of fish that either directly assail the active character or spring up unexpectedly from below their feet. These movesets can be particularly detrimental to squishy characters due to their Electro damage. After losing its Xenomare Pearl, the boss does have a few remaining movesets, but they are relatively minor and pose no significant threat.
During combat, the Millennial Pearl Seahorse will levitate and summon three Resonant Coral Orbs. It absorbs their energy and launches thunder strikes at players, dealing significant Electro damage.
To counter this move, players must destroy all the Coral Orbs using Elemental Reactions while dodging the Electro attacks. The most effective elements for destroying the Orbs quickly are Dendro, Cryo, and Pyro, similar to the Xenomare Pearl. Furthermore, destroying the three Orbs will instantly shatter the Millennial Pearl Seahorse's Electro shield. Failure to do so will, on the other hand, strengthen the shield's durability.
