With each new Fortnite season comes a plethora of changes. From new themes to vaulted items, players can expect the game to constantly evolve. However, some features remain consistent and expected, such as the return of Milestone Quests. While they have made a comeback in Chapter 4 Season 3, they have undergone modifications that players should be aware of. This guide will provide all the necessary information for players to tackle Fortnite's latest Milestone Quests.
How Milestone Quests Work
The Milestone Quests system has undergone a significant overhaul for Chapter 4 Season 3 after functioning in the same manner for several seasons. Upon accessing the in-game tab for Milestone Quests, players may initially find themselves perplexed, particularly if they receive identical quests following the completion of the preceding one. However, this is a direct consequence of the system's revamp. In the previous season, for instance, players were immediately granted ten Milestone Quests, each comprising 20 stages. Whenever they reached a new stage or accomplished a bonus objective for completing a particular number of Milestone Quests, they were rewarded with XP.
Milestone Quests have undergone a significant change in Chapter 4 Season 3. They are now categorized into Challenge Quests, Combat Quests, and Exploration Quests, with only one active quest allowed per category. Upon completion of five quests of the same category, players will earn bonus goal XP. Luckily, Milestone Quests will still be available throughout the entire season, so players need not fret about losing a valuable source of XP.
All Milestone Quests
The three Milestone categories cater to different gameplay aspects, motivating players to engage in a variety of activities during Chapter 4 Season 3. Each category comprises a set of tasks that are randomly selected upon completing a quest. It's impossible to predict the next quest, and it may repeat from before. Here are the possible quests for each category:
Challenge Quests
Destroy objects (250) Activate or re-roll Augments (10) Collect items (500) Gain shields (500)
Combat Quests
Damage opponents (2,000) Headshot opponents (25) Outlast opponents (250) Eliminate opponents (15)
Exploration Quests
Players can earn XP by opening chests and visiting landmarks and named locations. Opening chests at landmarks will earn them 15 XP, while opening chests at named locations will earn them 25 XP. Visiting landmarks will earn them 10 XP, and visiting named locations will earn them 15 XP. Additionally, completing each stage of the quest will earn players 2,000 XP, and completing five stages within the same category will earn them a bonus of 30,000 XP.
Fortnite is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
