The Ex Diris introduces the ability to generate Hive Lunar Moths with its new Arc grenade launcher, providing excellent crowd control and high damage. However, its accuracy may vary. On the other hand, Skyburner's Oath is a scout rifle capable of penetrating Cabal shields, but it lacks the unique qualities found in other legendary scout rifles within the game.

Destiny 2's Exotic weapon collection is constantly expanding, with new and returning weapons from the original game. The franchise's catalog of Exotic weapons is extensive, including adapted versions of enemy weapons found throughout the game. Determining a complete list of usable enemy weapons in Destiny 2 is subject to interpretation, as there are a wide variety of weapons that incorporate craft skills or are influenced by the forces of darkness, such as the Weapons of Sorrow. However, there are still a few Exotic weapons in Destiny 2 that are easily and universally recognized as being used by standard enemies.

S-Tier

The Vex Mythoclast, although officially classified as a fusion rifle, functions more like an auto rifle with a secondary firing mode resembling a linear fusion rifle. It is a unique weapon that combines elements from Vex Goblins and Vex Hobgoblins' rifles. The Exotic Catalyst for the Vex Mythoclast enhances its standard full-auto mode, granting a temporary increase in damage, accuracy, and stability with each kill. However, even without this upgrade, the weapon is already formidable in terms of power.

A-Tier

Introducing Ex Diris: the ultimate weapon for taking on the notorious Hive "boomer" Knights. It is the latest addition to Destiny 2 and can be obtained through the Season Pass in the Season of the Witch. This Arc grenade launcher comes with a never-ending magazine and the ability for players to summon their own Hive Lunar Moths. By unlocking the Exotic Catalyst upgrade, players can even elevate their own abilities with each kill. The projectiles unleashed by Ex Diris excel at crowd control and deliver impressive damage upon direct impact. However, its accuracy can be challenging when aiming at tiny, far, or mobile targets.

B Tier

Skyburner’s Oath offers unique features such as the ability to function as a scout rifle with full-auto capability and the ability to penetrate Cabal shields. However, many other legendary scout rifles can perform these functions while also allowing players to equip a separate Exotic weapon. To truly stand out, Skyburner’s Oath would benefit from being able to penetrate other shields in the game, such as those of Barrier Champions. Currently, it fails to live up to its competition, with other scout rifles like the ritual weapons and raid weapons in Destiny 2 surpassing its performance. Although it had its moment in the spotlight during the launch of Solar 3.0, it falls short of being considered truly exceptional.

C-Tier

The Queenbreaker

The Queenbreaker serves as the distinctive armament for Fallen Vandals, obtained through the quest to eliminate the notorious Scorn Baron named Pirrha, The Rifleman. While it lacks the coveted "God Roll" perks found in the top linear fusion rifles, it still delivers a powerful impact. Similar to other linear fusion rifles, the Queenbreaker remains a solid choice for both PvE and PvP, offering added excitement in Destiny 2's Gambit hybrid game mode. Unlike its counterparts, the Queenbreaker possesses the exceptional ability to blind and inflict chained damage upon nearby foes. It is worth noting that, among all the enemy weapons accessible in Destiny 2, the Queenbreaker stands alone without an Exotic Catalyst.

Grand Overture

Among the numerous formidable weapons in Destiny 2 featuring alternate firing modes, Grand Overture stands out as an exceptional choice. This impressive heavy machine gun is exclusively wielded by Cabal Centurions, granting players the ability to unleash a relentless barrage of heavy Arc slugs and Arc mini-rockets. The Exotic Catalyst for Grand Overture further enhances its firepower, imbuing the mini-rockets with chain-reaction explosions and the unique ability to disorient and blind targets.
