Unleashing the Fury: Destiny 2 Season of the Deep Challenge Sparks Outrage among Players

Destiny 2 players are irate over the demanding Season of the Deep challenge, as its requirements in the current activity have left them increasingly frustrated

Several Destiny 2 players have expressed their frustration with the challenging triumph known as "Salvage Treasurer" in the Season of the Deep. This particular triumph requires players to eliminate 12 treasure-laden combatants during the activity, which involves recovering Golden Age tech for the Drifter while facing off against the Hive. However, players have found it incredibly difficult to complete this achievement due to the exceedingly low chances of encountering these treasure-laden enemies.

Some players on Reddit have expressed their frustrations with the Salvage Treasurer triumph, claiming that the chances of encountering the elusive enemies are extremely low. One player shared their experience of only encountering this enemy type twice out of 70 runs, suggesting that the probability of encountering a treasure-laden combatant in Destiny 2 is likely less than 10%.

Despite the low odds, there have been players who have successfully completed the challenge. Some have noted that this is not the first time Destiny 2 developers have presented challenges with unfavorable odds. During the Season of the Plunder, players faced a similar issue with Ruffians. Bungie eventually reduced the required number of clears for the achievement by approximately 50% in the last month of the Season to make it more attainable for players. However, the Salvage Treasurer challenge has proven to be even more challenging, as treasure-laden enemies appear randomly at specific locations, as some players have pointed out.

Players are faced with a significant challenge in having to navigate to specific locations in order to confront formidable enemies and claim their valuable loot within a limited time frame during the Salvage activity. Ironically, there is no apparent reward associated with this Triumph, allowing players to potentially disregard this achievement without sacrificing any resources. Nevertheless, avid Destiny 2 players and completionists express their dissatisfaction with the daunting obstacles presented in this current season. Destiny 2 is currently accessible on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
