Final Fantasy 16 offers a variety of weapons, but not all are created equal. Unlike certain other games in the Final Fantasy series, such as Final Fantasy 7 Remake, the weapons in Final Fantasy 16 lack unique attributes. This means that the determining factor in choosing the best weapon comes down to its stats.
Consequently, identifying the superior weapons in Final Fantasy 16 is straightforward. However, acquiring them can often prove to be a more arduous task. Some weapons are obtained through the main storyline or by completing side quests, while others require rare materials for crafting.

How to Get the Everdark in Final Fantasy 16
Final Fantasy 16 players have the opportunity to acquire a range of Eikonic blades, in addition to their regular arsenal. These blades are skillfully crafted using elemental shards obtained from defeating certain powerful creatures known as Eikons. Among these blades, the Everdark stands out as the ultimate weapon, boasting an astounding Attack stat of 315. This makes it one of the most formidable swords available in FF16. However, players who choose to engage in the challenging Final Fantasy mode have the chance to further enhance the Everdark's capabilities. By utilizing Flawless materials, players can reforge the Everdark, significantly increasing its Attack and Break stats to an impressive 565.
Defender
In order to create the Everdark, players must obtain a Dark Shard from Barnabas, the final boss in the "The Last King" main story mission. They will also need eight Meteorites, 400 Sharp Fangs, and possess the Icebrand, the previous Eikonic Weapon. Upon gathering all these necessary items, players can start crafting the Everdark at the beginning of the "Brotherhood" main story mission.

In New Game Plus mode, players will be rewarded with Ragnarok Reforged instead, elevating the blade's Attack and Break stats to a remarkable 575.

However, in Final Fantasy mode, it unlocks three new forms, and the +5 version of the Defender boasts exceptional stats of 590 across the board.

Upon obtaining the Ragnarok, players will also receive the necessary Design Draft for the Gotterdammerung. To successfully craft this formidable weapon, three pieces of Orichalcum, two pieces of Darksteel, and a Primitive Battlehorn are required. Defeating the Gobermouch Notorious Mark will yield the much-needed Battlehorn, while both the Prince of Death and Thanatos enemies drop Darksteel. As for Orichalcum, players can either acquire it through specific side quests or by participating in hunts targeting the Atlas, Svarog, Gorgimera, and Behemoth King Notorious Marks.
