The highly-anticipated character, the Hydro Archon, has been the subject of a recent Genshin Impact leak, with new details emerging about her role in the game. Fans can expect to see her in the upcoming Fontaine update, where she will join the ranks of other region-specific Archons who serve as the nation's guardians. Known as the God of Justice, not much else is known about this new addition to the game. While it's unlikely that she will be immediately playable in the 4.0 update, players can look forward to encountering her in the game's storyline.
Genshin Impact enthusiasts eagerly await further details on the mysterious Hydro Archon, but in the meantime, leakers have been divulging more information about the upcoming content. Notably, a reputable leaker by the handle merlin_impact has suggested that the Archon previously known as Focalors may actually be named Furina. Some fans speculate that she may use both names, as is common among the game's Archons. For example, Zhongli, the Geo Archon, also goes by Morax and Rex Lapis, while the most recent addition, Nahida, is also known as Lesser Lord Kusanali and God of Wisdom. Other leaks suggest that Furina/Focalors possesses a strong sense of justice and that the Archon Quest will likely challenge Travelers to fight for what is right. Additionally, rumors hint at the possibility that Furina/Focalors may exhibit "tsundere" character traits, wherein individuals with initially abrasive personalities gradually reveal their softer sides.
In terms of her abilities on the battlefield, Furina is anticipated to wield a sword, making her the first Archon to possess this particular weapon type. Currently, only three characters - Nilou, Ayato, and Xingqiu - have this weapon and element combination. According to reports, Furina's Elemental Burst will grant her the power to manipulate gravity, sparking speculation among fans that she could enable certain party members to move in unique ways. This could potentially benefit DPS characters such as Xiao, allowing them to execute Plunging Attacks more frequently. Like the previous four Archons, Furina is expected to serve as a support character, making her a versatile addition to various team compositions in Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
