The Truth Behind Khloe Kardashian's Paternity Rumors Involving O.J. Simpson

Delve into the ongoing speculation surrounding Khloe Kardashian's true paternity, including the persistent rumors linking her to O.J. Simpson and the statements made by both parties over the years. Unravel the mystery and uncover the facts behind this intriguing celebrity controversy.

Fans of Keeping Up With the Kardashians have long been curious about Khloé Kardashian's paternity. Rumors have circulated for years suggesting that she may be the daughter of the late O.J. Simpson.

Speculation about Khloé's paternity gained traction after Kris Jenner revealed in her memoir, Kris Jenner and All Things Kardashian, published in November 2011. In the book, Kris confessed to having an affair during her marriage to Robert Kardashian.

After Robert divorced Jenner, he married Jan Ashley. Following Robert's death in 2003, Ashley claimed that he told her Khloé was not his biological daughter. In a 2012 interview, she alleged, "Khloé is not his kid. He told me that after we got married. He just looked at me and said it like it was a matter of fact. He said, ‘Well, you know that Khloé’s not really a Kardashian, don’t you?’ I said, ‘OK,’ and that was it."

Rumors began circulating that Simpson, who passed away in April 2024 after battling prostate cancer, could be Khloé's biological father. The connection between the Kardashian family and Simpson originated from Robert, who served as the former NFL star's lawyer. Robert was a member of Simpson's legal team during the trial for the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman in 1994. (Simpson was acquitted of the charges in 1995 but was later found liable for their deaths in a civil trial in 1998.)

Khloé and Simpson have both addressed and denied rumors about paternity, which became a hot topic on a 2012 episode of KUWTK.

The show, Season 7, episode 1, called "Who's Your Daddy," showed Jenner visiting Texas, where Khloé resided with her then-husband Lamar Odom.

Jenner reassured her daughter that the rumors were silly and urged her to take a DNA test to feel whole. She also persuaded her other children, Kim, Kourtney, and Rob Kardashian, to take the test for comparison. Despite her efforts, Khloé remained unconvinced.

"Mom, I don’t care what they’re saying,” Khloé expressed. “Seriously, my dad is Robert Kardashian, and my other dad is [Caitlyn] Jenner. I don’t need someone to tell me who my family is. I have had the blessing of having two phenomenal fathers. I don’t need a DNA test to prove who my father is.”

Simpson also spoke about the rumors, though it was many years later.

People have their own preferences, don't they? I remember thinking Kris was a really adorable girl," the late football star mentioned during the "Full Send" podcast in December 2022. "She was really sweet. But at the time, I was dating supermodels."

Addressing the rumors about Khloé specifically, Simpson clarified, "The speculation is completely false. It's not even close to being accurate."
