Surprising Twist: Khloe Kardashian's Son Gets a New Name - Thompson Revealed

According to multiple reports, Khloé Kardashian changed her son Tatum's last name from "Baby Kardashian" to Thompson after his birth in July 2022. The Good American founder legally changed Tatum's moniker so that he now shares the same last name as his dad, Tristan Thompson. As they are not married, Tatum's name was automatically made "Kardashian" after his birth. Khloé and Tristan, who also share daughter True, 5, dated off and on from 2016 to 2021.

During an appearance on The Ellen Show, Kardashian revealed that she wanted to take some time to get to know her son before choosing a name. “I feel like he’ll know his name when he sees it,” she said. “I just felt like, he’ll come up with his own name.”

"I was uncertain about what name to give him," shared the individual from California in an interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show in April. "I wanted to get to know him before deciding on a name. Initially, he was nameless. However, he has since been given a name. Unfortunately, I was not aware that the premiere of our show would be delayed, and now I am at risk of being exposed if my daughter reveals his name."

The news of Kardashian and Thompson expecting their second child together broke in July 2022. It was revealed that the baby was conceived in late 2021, during a time when the couple had secretly reconciled. However, their relationship hit another rough patch when Thompson welcomed a son with Maralee Nichols. This led to a paternity lawsuit where Nichols claimed to have been intimate with Thompson while he was still dating Kardashian.

Thompson and Nichols welcomed their son, Theo, in December 2021, adding to the former NBA player's family which includes his 6-year-old son, Prince, with ex Jordan Craig. Khloé Kardashian previously disclosed on season 1 of The Kardashians that she learned of Thompson's relationship with Nichols through the media.

In a June 2022 episode, the former host of Revenge Body voiced her displeasure at the prospect of Tristan keeping her in the dark about his actions with the rest of the world. She expressed her disappointment at the lack of consideration, stating that it would be a courtesy if he refrained from doing so. Furthermore, she felt humiliated and embarrassed by the perceived lack of respect. Despite rumors of a reunion between Thompson and Kardashian after the former joined the Lakers in April, an insider has since revealed that a reconciliation is unlikely.

According to a source, Khloé is uncertain about the possibility of reconciling with Tristan and believes it is unlikely. However, she values their successful co-parenting relationship and sees that as the primary focus. Khloé will continue to encourage her loved ones to support Tristan as long as he remains committed to being a present father for their children.
