The latest report on Daredevil: Born Again claims to unveil the villain of the MCU show, and it's a frightening character! This marks Man Without Fear's return to solo adventures after his reintroduction in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

The first season of the show is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2025 and will consist of 18 episodes. Charlie Cox will reprise his role as Daredevil, while Vincent D’Onofrio and Jon Bernthal will also return as Wilson Kingpin and Punisher. It is speculated that Fisk will be one of the main antagonists in Daredevil: Born Again, but there are rumors of another, even more sinister villain making an appearance.

Daredevil: Born Again’s rumored villain sounds horrifying

A new report from reliable source Daniel Richtman (as mentioned on Reddit) suggests that Daredevil: Born Again will feature the notorious serial killer Muse as its main villain.

Writer Charles Soule and artist Ron Garney collaborated to introduce Muse in a 2016 issue of Marvel’s Daredevil series. Muse is an anonymous artist who commits mass murder in a manner reminiscent of Banksy, incorporating his victims into his "artwork." Not only that, but Muse also possesses superhuman abilities, including speed and strength, allowing him to evade Daredevil's heightened senses by absorbing sensory information from his surroundings.

It’s worth noting, however, that Marvel Studios is yet to officially confirm Muse’s inclusion in Daredevil: Born Again.

Marvel Studios hits reset on Daredevil Born Again

If Richtman's report is accurate, it is uncertain whether Muse was included by Marvel Studios as part of its recent series reorganization. The studio let go of head writers Chris Ord and Matt Corman in September 2023, as part of its broader efforts to revamp Daredevil: Born Again.

Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' Head of Streaming, Television and Animation, commented on Ord and Corman's departure the next month. "We're aiming to merge the Marvel culture with the traditional television culture," he stated, and mentioned that Marvel will now be assigning showrunners to its TV projects.

Producer Dario Scardapane, known for his work on Netflix’s Punisher series, has joined the production as showrunner. He will collaborate with directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, who have recently taken on the remaining installments of Born Again. Editor's P/S

As a passionate fan of the Daredevil comics and the MCU, I am both excited and intrigued by the rumors surrounding the villain in Daredevil: Born Again. The introduction of Muse, a serial killer with superhuman abilities, promises to bring a new level of darkness and complexity to the show. Muse's unique modus operandi of incorporating his victims into his artwork adds a chilling artistic element to his villainy, making him a truly formidable opponent for Daredevil.

The potential inclusion of Muse also raises questions about Marvel Studios' overall plans for the Daredevil series. The recent reorganization and change in showrunners suggest a desire to merge the Marvel culture with traditional television, which could bring a fresh perspective to the storytelling. The appointment of Dario Scardapane as showrunner, known for his work on the Punisher series, further hints at a darker and more mature tone for Daredevil: Born Again. I am eager to see how these changes will shape the show and how they will contribute to the overall narrative of the MCU.
