The Terrifying Tactics of the Texas Chain Saw Massacre Family: Unleashing their Sneak Attacks

In The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, players controlling the Victims have various options to escape from the Slaughter Family on multiple maps. While these escape routes do not include killing the Family, there is a mechanic that permits the Victims to discreetly strike one of the Family members.

To accomplish this, players must rely on stealth attacks. These attacks come into play when the players need to flee a confined area where one of the Family members is present. Utilizing bone scrap, players can easily execute a stealth attack on the Family.

Where To Find Bone Scrap

In order to execute a stealth attack in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, players must first search for bone scrap. These scraps can be found scattered randomly throughout the maps in small piles of human bones. When a player locates a pile, they can collect the scrap by looking directly at it.

Upon pressing the interact button, a mini-game will appear where players must fill up a bar to obtain a shard of sharp bone. To fill up the bar, simply mash or hold the interact button during the mini-game. However, players should be cautious not to complete the mini-game too quickly, as the resulting noise may alert the killers and Grandpa. After completing the activity, players can find the collected bone scrap in their equipment on the left side of the screen.

What Does A Stealth Attack Do?

When players manage to execute a successful sneak attack on any of the opposing Family members, they will observe that the assailant becomes immobilized. This sneak attack essentially temporarily stuns the killer.

After backstabbing a killer, the Victims should swiftly decide to either flee, conceal themselves, or exit the map. Waiting too long would allow the killer to recover from their stunned state and make an attempt to kill the Victims. Those who wish to make the most of the stealth attack mechanism should prioritize building strategies around targeting Leland as the victim of choice.

How To Sneak Attack The Killers

Once players obtain bone scrap, they can equip it by selecting the bone scrap icon in their equipment. Equipping it will make the Victim character hold the bone scrap like a shiv. To escape, players must stealthily navigate and complete their tasks without alerting the Family. However, it is not possible for Victims to kill any Family members when hunting them down.

If Victims are found hiding in an area with no way out except through a killer, players have the option to stealthily attack them. To do this, players must approach an unsuspecting member of the Slaughter family from behind. When close enough, an option to perform a stealth attack will appear. Clicking the interact button will trigger a brief animation of the Victim character stabbing the Family member in the back with the bone scrap.

Sneak attacks occur by approaching the Family member from behind, allowing players to execute a surprise attack by swiftly circling the Slaughter Family killer.
