Tina Knowles and Richard Lawson ended their marriage of eight years in July 2023. Prior to marrying Lawson in April 2015, Tina had finalized her divorce from ex-husband Mathew Knowles in December 2011, stating that their split was due to "discord or conflict of personalities," making reconciliation unlikely.
Tina and Mathew got married in 1980 and had two daughters, Beyoncé and Solange, born in 1981 and 1986 respectively. In November 2009, Tina initially filed for divorce from Mathew but later withdrew it in the following year. However, she decided to file for divorce again in August 2011.
Before marrying Tina, Lawson was married to actress Denise Gordy from 1978 to 1989, and they have a daughter named Bianca. Additionally, Lawson has a son named Ricky from a previous relationship.
