"I am quite easily moved to emotion, but in that moment, I was truly overwhelmed."

When your friends turn into colleagues and then become part of your family." She went on to congratulate Seacrest on enduring six winters in NYC and expressed her unwavering support. In June 2023, it was announced that Seacrest would be replacing Pat Sajak as the new host of Wheel of Fortune. Sajak, who had been hosting the show since 1981, had already confirmed his retirement earlier that same month, set to take place after season 41.
