For over 30 years, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest has been the No. 1 New Year’s Eve special. In 2024, the show will mark its 52nd year with a celebration featuring over five hours of live music and a peek at New Year’s festivities around the world. Ryan Seacrest will return as host, joined by cohost Rita Ora. The lineup includes performances by Green Day, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Janelle Monáe, Renée Rapp with Coco Jones, Aqua, Ellie Goulding, and more. The festivities will begin on Sunday, December 31, from New York City’s Times Square.

Since 2006, Seacrest has been the leader of the event, cohosting for seven years with the late founder, Dick Clark until his passing in 2012. Clark started the show in 1972 and hosted for almost fifty years. After his death, Seacrest discussed taking on the role. "You know, there's the history I have as a fan of the show and watching Dick," he told Newsweek in December 2013. "Then there's the amazing fortune I had to be his partner and learn from him - on-the-job training, which is something I never could have imagined."
