Defying the Shadow Curse

The Shadow Cursed Lands are shrouded in a suffocating darkness that inflicts necrotic damage upon all who tread its perilous terrain. Your first priority is to seek immunity from this malevolent curse. Utilize a torch to ward off the Shadow Curse until you arrive at the Last Light Inn, unmistakable with its protective bubble shield. Here, you will encounter Isobel, who will bestow upon you Selune's Blessing, freeing you from the reliance on a torch to navigate the treacherous darkness.

Certain areas within the Shadow Cursed Lands harbor an even more potent manifestation of the Shadow Curse, necessitating the use of a Moonlantern for protection. If you enter via the Mountain Pass, a confrontation with an enemy squad awaits. Persuade the Spider enemy to relinquish the Moonlantern, or engage in combat to claim it. Alternatively, if you traverse the Underdark, you will encounter a group of Harpers locked in combat with shadowy foes. Aid them in their struggle, and they will guide you to the Last Light Inn, where you can acquire the Moonlantern.
