The producers of 'The Golden Bachelor' are fully backing potential spinoffs like 'Bachelorette' and 'Paradise' after the immense success of the show

Producers of the Golden Bachelor franchise are looking for more and are considering a potential spinoff called the Golden Bachelorette. During a Producers Guild FYC panel on Monday, December 11, executive producer and showrunner Bennett Graebner expressed excitement about the idea. He said, "Nothing would make us happier... stay tuned."

Claire Freeland and Jason Ehrlich joined Graebner on the panel and shared similar sentiments. The golden couple Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist also participated in the conversation.

"I'm here for Golden Paradise," Freeland joked, to which Graebner replied, "We're all set for it."

During the discussion about a potential new version of The Bachelorette, the audience eagerly offered their suggestions on who would make a great lead. Leslie Fhima, Faith Martin, Ellen Goltzer, Joan Vassos and Sandra Masson, all of whom vied for Turner’s heart in season 1, received enthusiastic support from the crowd.

The first season of Golden Bachelor debuted in September, and viewers quickly developed a fondness for 72-year-old Turner. In the end, the leading man chose Nist, 70, over 64-year-old Fhima during the season finale, despite having developed strong feelings for both women.

Despite the immediate success of the show, the producers admitted that they were unsure of the public's response, but remained hopeful that the message would resonate.

"Embrace the idea of dating and desirability across all age groups, acknowledging that people continue to have sexual urges and cravings regardless of their age," Freeland shared during the panel. "I believe that this is a key factor in the show's success and why it resonates with so many people."

She expressed admiration for the show's concept and expressed hope for increased representation of people of all ages in mainstream media.

In November, Turner shared his support for a Golden Bachelorette and thought any of his former contestants would be a great match.

"I really hope that happens," Turner told E! News. "But I can't choose one out of those 22 women who would be better than the others. They would all be fantastic candidates for it."

Check out the deal now - Although an official announcement about the Golden Bachelorette or Paradise is still pending, ABC will soon be airing Turner and Nist’s wedding in a special called The Golden Wedding on January 4th. The couple decided to tie the knot swiftly after the November finale.

"On the 'Bachelor Happy Hour' podcast in November, Turner pointed out that as we age, a year becomes a larger percentage of the time we have left. For example, waiting a year in your 20s might be only 3 percent of your remaining life, but in your 70s, a year could be 10 to 20 percent of the time you have left."
