The Osbournes: A Look Back
The Osbournes was an iconic reality series on MTV that featured Black Sabbath singer Ozzy Osbourne, as well as his wife and two kids. When The Osbournes premiered, it quickly became a hit among reality TV watchers and fans of Ozzy and his band, Black Sabbath. The show premiered on March 5, 2002, and became one of the most-viewed shows ever on the network. Pretty impressive for a network that is the home of other iconic shows such as The Hills, Teen Mom, Jersey Shore, and more.

When The Osbournes premiered in 2002, it introduced the world to Ozzy's small yet captivating family. The show included his wife, Sharon Osbourne, as well as his two children, Kelly Osbourne and Jack Osbourne. Before the show, no one had really known about his family. The Osbournes shot them all to fame and created different career paths for themselves, especially Sharon, Kelly, and even Jack. As for Ozzy, fans of his got to know him outside his band, Black Sabbath. However, Ozzy and Sharon's other daughter, Aimee Osbourne, refused to be a part of the series. If she was ever talked about, she was either absent or simply blurred out.

Ozzy Osbourne: The Reality Star and Beyond
Since his time on The Osbournes, Ozzy has experienced several ups and downs in his life. He and his son Jack started their own reality series called Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour, which aired on A&E from 2016 to 2018. The series followed Ozzy and Jack for three seasons as they visited sites to learn about their history from experts and explore their backgrounds. Ozzy's daughter Kelly later joined the cast for the final season. Besides his reality career, he also found himself in a scandal in 2016, which led to Sharon leaving him after being married for 33 years at the time. However, they reconciled, and Ozzy has also faced health issues, including a 'mild' form of Parkinson’s disease, which caused him to cancel all his dates for the No More Tours 2 tour.

Ozzy most recently opened up about reality TV and his thoughts on what it's like today compared to when he was part of that TV genre. In an interview with SPIN, he said, 'What they call reality TV now is really not reality.' Ozzy believes what they do today is 'scripted,' and 'not raw' like The Osbournes was. He even admitted that towards the end of the show, MTV producers wanted his family to do things they wouldn't usually do. “At that point, I lost interest in it,” he added.

Sharon Osbourne: A Career Evolution
Luckily for Sharon, she already had a new job before The Osbournes ended in 2005. The wife of Ozzy was already a judge on the X Factor in the United Kingdom. Her time on the show was short-lived, as she was only a judge from 2004 to 2007. Shortly after her time on X Factor, Sharon was a judge on America’s Got Talent in the U.S. from 2007 to 2012. Overall, Sharon's had quite a career as a judge since The Osbournes and has seemingly been a mainstay on reality TV. While also working as a judge Sharon had her own talk show in 2003 and 2006 for a brief time.

Sharon was a panelist for 11 years before she left the show in 2021 after defending journalist and good friend Piers Morgan following comments he made regarding Meghan Markle. Other than her career change, Sharon has also been open about using Ozempic to help her lose weight. She admitted that she began using Ozempic last November and has since lost 42 lbs. However, she has stopped using it and plans on putting some weight back on. Sharon did appear on The Talk UK in January 2023, where she spoke about Kelly's new baby boy.
