In the horror slasher game, Texas Chain Saw Massacre, developed by Sumo Digital, players are immersed in the chilling world of Leatherface and his sadistic family. Similar to other games in its genre, players have the option to either portray a victim or join the gang of murderers. The Slaughter Family includes various unpredictable characters, each possessing unique abilities and traits.
Although not playable, Grandpa holds the utmost importance within the family due to his remarkable sonar capabilities. In order for him to function effectively, he relies on the intake of blood, which must be personally supplied to him by other family members throughout the matches. Once Grandpa receives an adequate amount of blood, he becomes an invaluable asset to the family, as he is able to locate and expose the victims to all players. Here's a guide on collecting and feeding blood to Grandpa in the game Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
How to Collect Blood in Texas Chain Saw Massacre
In Texas Chain Saw Massacre, there are two methods for family members to gather blood. The first option involves attacking or killing a Victim, while the second alternative entails locating blood buckets on the upper levels of the map. At the beginning of every match, Leatherface spawns in the Basement, while the remaining two family members inhabit the upstairs area. Consequently, both individuals can independently engage in blood collection until the victims manage to escape from the Basement.
The primary purpose of collecting blood is to nourish Grandpa. Prior to activating his sonar ability, he will be in a state of slumber and needs to be awakened before utilizing it. Grandpa awakens whenever any of the subsequent events occur:
- A victim generates excessive noise.
A victim escapes the Basement
Grandpa is fed enough blood
When Grandpa awakens, the players will receive a notification, triggering his sonar powers. As he lets out a scream, any moving family members or victims will be highlighted. Grandpa's ability has five levels, with the time between his screams decreasing with each level. At level five, victims will be revealed, regardless of whether they are moving or not.
Although there are various methods to awaken Grandpa, blood is the sole means to enhance his level. Certain relatives have the ability to store more blood than others, or they can equip a perk that augments their Blood Harvesting capability when striking victims or emptying the buckets. If players are unable to find victims, they can reuse the buckets after a brief cooldown period.
You can play The Texas Chainsaw Massacre on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
