The Fate of Jonathan Majors' Film Hangs in the Balance After Guilty Verdict

Jonathan Majors' highly anticipated film faces an uncertain future following his recent guilty verdict, as experts predict it may never see the light of day

Jonathan Majors' projects are now under scrutiny after he received a guilty verdict for assault allegations. Experts predict that one of his movies may "Never be released." Despite making an appearance in Loki Season 2, Majors has significantly reduced his acting roles after assault allegations surfaced in March 2023.

Disney/Marvel has officially dropped Jonathan Majors from the upcoming Avengers movie, where he was set to appear as Kang the Conqueror, following his guilty verdict received on December 18. Marvel has not yet announced its new plans, and it is possible that a Jonathan Majors movie may not see the light of day at all.

Jonathan Majors movie will “never be released” after guilty verdict

Experts and critics believe that the Jonathan Majors movie Magazine Dreams will now “never be released” following his guilty assault verdict.

Starring Majors, Magazine Dreams depicts a man caring for his sick grandfather while pursuing a career in professional bodybuilding. After premiering at the Sundance Film Festival on January 20, 2023, the movie garnered favorable reviews from critics. However, due to the SAG-AFTRA strike and allegations involving Majors, Magazine Dreams was pulled from the 2023 release schedule, originally set for December 8, 2023.

I doubt that the movie MAGAZINE DREAMS, with its character-driven drama relying on strong performances, will ever be produced again.

Isaac Feldberg expressed on X/Twitter, "Regardless of the situation, I can't envision a scenario in which MAGAZINE DREAMS is released, especially not by Disney/Searchlight. My heart goes out to the cast and crew who put their hard work into it."

Courtney Howard concurred, "Considering the subject matter of MAGAZINE DREAMS and its reliance on nuanced performances, I highly doubt that the movie will ever be released."

Clint Worthington chimed in, "Here come all the critics, desperately trying to erase our raves about how 'transformative' he was in MAGAZINE DREAMS." The status of the Jonathan Majors movie remains unconfirmed.

"I sympathize with writer/director Elijah Bynum of MAGAZINE DREAMS. Despite making an indie film in just 24 days, gaining a major star, premiering at Sundance, and receiving glowing reviews, it was still picked up by Searchlight - a true Sundance Dream. I hope he has another opportunity for an indie hit," remarked one fan.

"I don't know much about the creators of MAGAZINE DREAMS, but I can't help but wonder what it's like to realize that a year or two of your life will likely just gather dust on a shelf forever," another viewer mused.

Editor's P/S

As a passionate fan of Jonathan Majors, I am deeply disappointed and saddened by the news of his guilty verdict and the subsequent impact on his upcoming projects, particularly the highly anticipated film "Magazine Dreams." Majors' talent and charisma have captivated audiences, and it is disheartening to see his career potentially derailed by these unfortunate circumstances.

The allegations against Majors are serious and should not be taken lightly. However, it is crucial to remember that everyone deserves a fair chance at redemption and rehabilitation. I believe that Majors should be given the opportunity to address his actions and work towards making amends. It would be a great loss to the entertainment industry if his promising career were to be cut short due to a single mistake.
