Taylor Swift fans are excitedly visiting The Black Dog in London because the pub owner hinted that Joe Alwyn is a frequent visitor there.
Many Swifties believe that the song "The Black Dog" on The Tortured Poets Department album, released on April 19, is about Swift's ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn. It seems like they might be onto something.
Swift, who is 34 years old, recently released a song about an ex who often visits a London pub. The pub's owner, Lily Bottomley, mentioned to Sky News that there is a certain blond regular who frequents the pub, but she didn't want to give away too much information.
Bottomley also commented on the significant increase in visitors to the pub since the release of the song "The Black Dog." She stated that it has brought the highest foot traffic she has ever seen.
The song is the 17th track on TTPD, which has broken Spotify’s record for the most-streamed album in a single day.

Ms Bottomley shared with the BBC that Taylor Swift had been to the pub before. She mentioned that the pub now offers Swift-themed burgers and cocktails. According to Ms Bottomley, Swift is a fan of the venue because she finds The Black Dog to be a beautiful neighborhood pub.
She described the pub as small and cozy, with a strong sense of community that would likely appeal to Swift. Despite being a famous celebrity, Swift enjoys the relaxed atmosphere of the pub as a nice break from her busy life.
She went on to say that they have been playing the album continuously at the pub and fans have been joining in with singalongs. The experience has been incredible and they are thoroughly enjoying it. Despite feeling overwhelmed by all the attention, they couldn't be happier.
In the first verse, Swift mentions seeing her ex entering a pub. She sings, "And so I watch as you walk into some bar called The Black Dog and pierce new holes in my heart."
The London pub's social media presence skyrocketed after the song was released. One video shared on TikTok on Friday playfully asked, "POV Your cozy little pub gets name-dropped in the new Taylor Swift album ??! How do we cope? Swifties please advise on next steps."
