Taylor Swift’s song "So High School" is filled with romantic references to her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. In the lyrics, she also subtly mentions his father, Ed Kelce.

In the song released on April 19, Swift, 34, sings about laughing during practice and mentions Travis impersonating his father. Travis, also 34, has done impressions of his dad on his podcast called "New Heights."

Swift's song "So High School" subtly hints at being inspired by her boyfriend, without mentioning Travis or his dad by name.

In the track, Swift sings, "Are you gonna marry, kiss, or kill me (Kill me)," which seems to refer to Travis' 2016 interview where he expressed his desire to kiss Swift in a "Kiss, Marry, Kill" game. She continues, "It’s just a game, but really (Really) / I’m bettin’ on all three for us two (All three)."

In a different part of the song, Swift appears to be talking about Travis, who is 34 years old and plays football professionally.

She sings, "You know how to ball / I know Aristotle. Brand new, full throttle / Teach me while your bros play Grand Theft Auto. It’s true, swear, scouts honor. You knew what you wanted and, boy, you got her."

Swifties who are devoted fans of Taylor Swift were thrilled when they noticed that her boyfriend Travis, whom she has been dating since the summer of 2023, was mentioned on TTPD. Interestingly, Travis's father was also mentioned in the same context. Travis and his brother Jason Kelce are the sons of Ed and Donna Kelce, who have managed to maintain a close relationship over the years.

Some social media users couldn't contain their excitement over Ed Kelce being referenced in a Taylor Swift song. One user expressed, "Oh I just know Ed Kelce is giggling and kicking his feet," while another commented, "Ed Kelce getting a line in a Taylor song in the year of our savior 2024 I have to laugh."

One fan expressed surprise, saying, "I also can’t believe Ed Kelce made his way onto a Taylor song like good for him honestly."

After Travis began dating Swift, Ed went to his local library to check out her past records, as Jason, 36, shared on a 2023 episode of “New Heights.” (Ed also purchased Swift’s discography twice upon discovering she had re-released her first six albums after a dispute with Big Machine Records and Scooter Braun.)

Ed Kelce is excited to go to the library to borrow The Anthology because he knows he is mentioned on the album, according to a comment from an X user.

Another person humorously mentioned that they can't wait for Ed Kelce to find out he is featured on The Tortured Poets Department after he finishes burning the CD.

What Is the Best Song on Taylor Swift’s ‘The Tortured Poets Department?’

Ed first met Swift ahead of one of Travis’ fall 2023 Kansas City Chiefs games in Missouri.

Ed remembered a funny moment when Taylor Swift entered Travis' house with a security guy. He couldn't remember her name and felt like a real idiot in front of his girlfriend. She had to remind him that it was Taylor Swift.

Despite his initial embarrassment, Ed has formed a close bond with Taylor Swift, whom he affectionately refers to as "the real Taylor." They have watched several of Travis' games together from a private suite, including the Super Bowl LVIII in February. After the Chiefs emerged victorious, Ed, Swift, Travis, Donna, and Jason celebrated together on the field.

The Tortured Poets Department is available now.
