During her concert in Singapore on Sunday, March 3, Taylor Swift had an exciting announcement to make about her album The Tortured Poets Department.
"I just had a plan for Night 2," Swift, 34, shared with the audience during the Eras show. She mentioned that she anticipated their excitement and wanted to reveal something never seen before, which she also live-streamed on her Instagram briefly.
Swift then proceeded to share some exciting news about The Tortured Poets Department. She eagerly showed the final edition of the department, complete with the cover featuring a new image shot by Beth Garrabrant. In the sepia-toned shot, Swift was seen standing with one hand on top of her head and the other by her chin. She also mentioned a song named 'The Black Dog' and expressed her anticipation for the audience to hear it, thanking them for their enthusiasm.
Swift also updated her Instagram profile picture with the same image, captioning it with, "Old habits die screaming."
During Sunday's concert, Swift made a special announcement about her upcoming re-recorded album "Taylor's Version" that interrupted the acoustic section. Earlier that night, Swift delighted the Singapore audience with a unique double mash-up, blending “Mine” with “Starlight” and then “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” with “Dress.”
During the acoustic set on Saturday, March 2, Swift shared, “This has become my favorite part of the show because it’s become very chaotic and it’s become a challenge for me to think of new things to do for every single city. And hope that I’m doing something that you guys might like. It’s been a blast!”
After Swift finishes her March shows in Singapore, she will drop her new album, The Tortured Poets Department, on April 19. The Eras Tour will pick back up on May 9 in Paris and travel through Europe and the UK until August 20.
