Taylor Swift made a statement at the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Green Bay Packers in Wisconsin on Sunday, December 3. The 33-year-old singer wore a bright red oversized belted teddy coat by Stella McCartney, paired with a black turtleneck and a Louis Vuitton mini wrap skirt. She completed the look with black leather heeled boots by Stuart Weitzman and a Cartier yellow gold twisted rope necklace. Swift finished off her ensemble with bright red lipstick, and styled her naturally curly hair straightened and in a bun.
Fans began to speculate whether Swift had borrowed the red coat from Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, when she appeared wearing a similar one. In November 2022, Brittany, 28, had worn a nearly identical coat to show support for her husband at a Kansas City Chiefs game in Kansas City, Missouri. At the time, she paired the red coat with a figure-hugging black mini dress and tall slouchy black boots, while also showing off her baby bump. Brittany later posted a carousel of Instagram photos wearing the coat, captioning the social media post: "SNF️."

After donning her festive outerwear, X, formerly known as Twitter, was inundated with fan speculation. One fan expressed, “I’m in tears seeing taylor’s wearing Brittany’s coat,” while another guessed, “I'm assuming that taylor doesn't have all her clothes with her and finding this shade of red coat may not be easy!”
Some remained skeptical. One person argued, "I don't think Brittany's coat would be the right length for Taylor. Just compare the coat lengths of both Brittany and Taylor. They just have a similar coat!"
Another user, X, commented, "I'm not sure if Taylor borrowed that coat from Brittany, it's a Stella McCartney. Taylor could have owned it for years as well."
