Taylor Swift attended the Kansas City Chiefs' first playoff game of the season against the Miami Dolphins with Travis Kelce. The game, held at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, saw Kelce, 34, enjoying a home field advantage during the Wild Card game on Saturday, January 13. Swift arrived an hour before kickoff in a Nike puffer jacket that paid homage to Kelce's jersey, featuring his name, jersey number, and "Chiefs Kingdom" embroidered at the waist. She completed the look with a white beanie.

Swift has been Kelce's top supporter all season, though she missed his previous game against the Los Angeles Chargers on January 7th. She was in California, where the away game took place, but could not attend due to a scheduling conflict with the Golden Globes, at which her Eras Tour concert film was nominated. Kelce ended up sitting out the last game of the regular season, as the Chiefs had already secured their spot in the playoffs. Despite this, Kelce was unable to accompany Swift to the awards show, and host Jo Koy made a joke about the couple.

"The contrast between the Golden Globes and the NFL is quite significant. At the Golden Globes, we see far fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift. I kid you not," Koy, 52, joked. "There's simply more ground to cover."

When the camera focused on Swift, she appeared to be unhappy with Koy's comment as she took a sip of her wine. Koy later talked about Swift's viral reaction to his remark.

"I was just saying it was cute. I was just saying it's less cutaways, that's all," Koy told Entertainment Tonight after the ceremony.

Swift's appearance at one of Kelce's games in September 2023 sparked controversy among NFL fans, who criticized the media attention she received. However, in December 2023, Swift addressed the criticism in an interview with TIME, stating that she was unaware of the cameras and the amount of attention she was receiving at the game.

Swift made it clear that her sole focus was on cheering for her boyfriend. "I'm just here to support Travis," she explained. "I have no idea if I'm being featured too much and upsetting a few dads, Brads, and Chads."
