When Taylor Swift wrote the song “Fifteen” and reflected on dating a football player, it was difficult to imagine that she would eventually date one of the most well-known football players in the world.
At her Eras Tour concert in Lyon, France on June 2, Taylor Swift, 34, sang the song “Fifteen” from her 2008 album, Fearless. The lyrics of the song include the line, “In your life, you’ll do things greater than dating the boy on the football team.”
The meaning of the lyric has completely changed ever since Swift started dating Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs star.
During her acoustic set, Swift couldn't help but smile and blush as she sang the song, acknowledging the irony of the moment to the cheering crowd.
The song was mashed up with Swift’s “You’re on Your Own, Kid,” which was featured on her 2022 album, Midnights.

During the surprise portion of the setlist, Swift also performed “The Prophecy” from her April album The Tortured Poets Department. She explained to the audience, "Some nights like tonight I try out playing a song that I’ve never played live before," before starting the performance.
"Fifteen" was inspired by Taylor Swift's friendship with Abigail Anderson during their freshman year at Henderson High School. Swift shared that the song was based on her experiences with Abigail, starting with the line, "Abigail gave everything she had to a boy who changed his mind." She explained that she wrote the song almost backwards, focusing on their first year of high school because she felt that it was a time of significant growth in her life.

When Fearless came out, Swift mentioned to CMT that "Fifteen" was the song she loved the most from the album.
She explained, "In high school, you feel like you know it all, but really, you know very little."
While Taylor Swift was performing in France, her boyfriend was being questioned about their future together.
During a charity event in Kansas City on Saturday, June 1, Jason Sudeikis, who is 34 years old like Kelce, asked when he was going to make Swift "an honest woman."
Kelce chuckled and playfully avoided answering the questions. He jokingly said, "You guys are really trying to get something out of me."
Just to clarify, a source shared with We back in May that Kelce currently has no intentions of proposing to Swift in the near future.
