All Taylor Swift had to do was stay — in Canada.

On Thursday, November 2, the singer, aged 33, used social media to reveal that three additional dates for her Eras Tour's international leg have been added. These concerts are scheduled to take place at BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia on December 6, 7, and 8, 2024, following six performances at Rogers Centre in Toronto. Gracie Abrams, who previously accompanied Swift on the first leg of the tour earlier this year, will be the opening act for the newly added shows. Abrams, aged 24, expressed excitement about the news on her Instagram Story, posting a photo of herself and Swift with the caption "What did you say? 3 more Eras shows in Vancouver next year? lfg."

After wrapping up her first round of performances in August, Swift is currently taking a break from touring. However, she will resume her tour on November 9 with shows scheduled in Argentina and Brazil. Following that, she has plans to perform in Asia, Europe, and Australia before making her way back to the U.S. and Canada in October 2024.

Swift's Eras Tour, which takes fans through each "era" of her 10-album discography, has been an incredible success. Forbes recently ranked it as the top-earning summer concert tour, with the 56 U.S. shows generating $305 million in revenue after expenses.

The profits of the tour, along with the successful October concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, have propelled Swift to billionaire status, according to a Bloomberg News analysis conducted last month.

According to the analysis, Swift's net worth is reportedly $1.1 billion. It is highlighted that she has achieved this status solely through her music and performances, showcasing her talent, hard work, and strategic marketing. Bloomberg uncovers that her music catalog alone is valued at around $400 million. Additionally, she has earned $370 million from concert ticket sales and merchandise, $120 million from Spotify and YouTube streaming royalties, $110 million from real estate investments, and $80 million from music sales royalties.

Although Bloomberg suggests that Swift could potentially increase her billionaire status by selling the rights to her catalog, this possibility seems unlikely. This is because the "Anti Hero" singer is currently in the process of re-recording her first six albums. This decision was influenced by the fact that her masters were sold to Scooter Braun in a 2016 acquisition by her former label, Big Machine Records. In 2020, Braun then sold the masters to Shamrock Holdings for $405 million.

Swift initially announced her plans to rerecord her music in August 2019. The first album to receive this treatment was Fearless (Taylor's Version) in April 2021. This was followed by Red (Taylor's Version) in October 2021 and Speak Now (Taylor's Version) in July 2023. The most recent release, 1989 (Taylor's Version), came out last month. The only albums remaining to be rerecorded are Reputation and her self-titled debut album.

In a February 2021 Instagram post, Swift explained her reasoning for remaking her first six albums. She believed that artists should have ownership of their own work, as they are the ones who truly understand the intent and meaning behind their creations.
