Swift expressed her awe at witnessing @kendricklamar's creative process while working on the 'Bad Blood' remix. She emphasized her admiration for his contributions to the song and his respectful treatment of others. She found it unbelievable and incredible that Kendrick went back to rerecord 'Bad Blood,' allowing Swift to reclaim and take ownership of a project she holds dear. Swift joyfully announced that the 'Bad Blood Remix (featuring Kendrick Lamar)' can now be found everywhere on the 1989 Deluxe Edition.

Swift later shared the deluxe LP link on her Instagram Stories, implying that Lamar’s version is available for streaming on Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube, or can be purchased from Swift’s website, iTunes, and other retailers.

Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar collaborated on a remix of "Bad Blood," which was released in 2015.

"We were both in L.A., so I joined her in the studio session. She had the music playing, and I began writing. I then entered the recording booth and we put it down," Lamar recalled of their collaborative process in a December 2017 interview on Howard Stern's SiriusXM radio show. "For this particular record, I was just vibing and incorporating her lyrics."

The rapper explained at the time: "I didn't want to influence her too much. I wanted to have my own inspiration and see where it took me. Luckily, the vibe was right and it didn't require many takes. We were really in sync and truly understood the emotions when I was in the recording booth."

Lamar's rap, featured in the infamous "Bad Blood" music video with Swift's A-list friends, has become a fan favorite. Many Swifties even chant his lyrics during Swift's live Eras Tour performance of the song.

1989 (Taylor's Version) is Swift's fourth rerecorded album. She announced in 2019 her plans to redo her previous records following a dispute over her masters. Swift was upset that her former label, Big Machine Records, sold her discography to Scooter Braun for over $300 million without giving her the chance to purchase and own her own work. Braun, now 42, has since sold the rights to Swift's music catalog.
