Taylor Swift is still shattering records in a year filled with incredible achievements. According to Billboard, Swift's latest release "1989 (Taylors Version)," a re-recorded version of her 2014 smash hit album, has soared to the top spot on the Billboard 200 album chart within just one week of its release.
"Blank Space" singer Taylor Swift achieves her 13th No. 1 album with the recently released "1989 (Taylor's Version)". This highly anticipated debut surpasses all other albums in first-week album sales since Adele's "25" in 2015, solidifying its position as the best-selling album of the year, as reported by Billboard.
The top-selling albums in 2023 include Swift's latest album "Midnights" and the July release of "Speak Now (Taylors Version)." Swift has made a significant impact on music streaming services as well, holding the record as Spotify's most-streamed artist on a single day in history with the release of "1989 (Taylors Version)" on October 27.
The 2014 album is arguably one of Swift's most popular and is recognized as her initial venture into the pop genre, following several prior releases of country-pop albums. Following her announcement in 2019 to re-record her first six albums, she has subsequently unveiled "Taylor's Version" albums for "Red," "Speak Now," "Fearless," and "1989."
She is expected to at some point release re-records of 2017s "Reputation" album and her 2006 debut "Taylor Swift."
