Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have a special connection that makes them feel happy and affectionate towards each other.

They started their relationship in the summer of 2023, and Swift even went to her first Kansas City Chiefs game that fall. Swift shared that their bond grew stronger after Kelce attended her Eras Tour show in Missouri and gifted her a friendship bracelet with his contact information.

"We actually had a lot of time to ourselves that nobody knew about, and I'm thankful for that because it gave us the chance to really get to know each other," she revealed in her cover story for TIME Person of the Year in December 2023. "When I attended that first game, we were already a couple. Some people may have thought that was our first date at the game? We would never be crazy enough to make our first date so public."

Taylor’s 1st Game

Swift made her debut in the Chiefs Kingdom in September 2023 when the Chiefs played against the Chicago Bears. The Grammy winner watched the game from a suite with Travis' mom, Donna Kelce. Travis' teammate, James Winchester, mentioned that he noticed the tight end blushing because Swift was there to cheer him on.

Winchester shared, "I went up to Trav and said, 'Hey, man, it's cool she's here.' He asked, 'What do you mean? Did they show her on the jumbotron?' I replied, 'No, Jay told me. That's awesome, man, good for you.' He was just smiling and blushing."

Big Brother Teasing

After Travis and Swift made headlines following that first game, Travis’ big bro, Jason Kelce, couldn’t help but tease him over Swift putting him “on the map.”

I was really impressed by how everyone in the suite couldn't stop praising her. From friends to family, everyone had only positive things to say. When she walked in, she looked absolutely stunning," he excitedly shared on his brother’s “New Heights” podcast. "And to top it off, it was a perfect day for Chiefs fans. When Travis had a bye week in November 2023, he decided to fly to Buenos Aires to attend Swift’s Eras Tour concert. Travis sat in the audience next to Taylor’s dad, Scott Swift, and enjoyed the show from the VIP booth.

During the grand finale of the concert, Taylor made a spontaneous change to the lyrics of her song “Karma.” Instead of singing “guy on the screen,” which referred to her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn, she sang “guy on the Chiefs.”

Travis' surprised reaction to the unexpected lyric change was caught on camera by fans in the audience. He blushed and covered his face in disbelief. Scott tried to give Travis a high-five to share the excitement, but Travis was so shocked that he missed the gesture.

Travis shared his experience on his and Jason's podcast and mentioned he was surprised by the shout out. He also offered an apology to Taylor's dad for not returning his high-five.

Addressing Taylor's dad, Travis expressed, "Mr. Swift, I'm sorry, big guy. I always make sure to give a high-five, I'm a big fan of them. It really adds excitement to any event."

Turning Taylor into an ‘Honest Woman’

In June 2024, Travis went to the Big Slick Celebrity Weekend charity event in Kansas City. During the event, he had a conversation with Jason Sudeikis who playfully mentioned the idea of Travis settling down with Taylor.

"Hey Travis, let's talk candidly. It's just us guys hanging out. When do you think you'll finally pop the question to [her]?" Sudeikis playfully teased, mentioning Harrison Butker's graduation speech controversy about women opting for homemaking over a career. "Taylor doesn't need to work anymore. And I'm pretty sure your kicker feels the same way."

Travis chuckled and grinned at the banter before jokingly responding, "Come on guys, you're really testing me."

Taylor Swift's Performance in Lyon, France

During her Eras Tour stop in Lyon, France, Taylor Swift surprised fans by performing "Fifteen" as one of the night's secret songs. The track from her Fearless album, released in 2008, features the line, "In your life, you'll do things greater than dating the boy on the football team." As Swift sang these lyrics, she couldn't help but smile and blush at the irony of her words, while the crowd went wild.
