Patrick Mahomes confirmed to reporters that he had met Taylor Swift, describing her as "really cool," during her relationship with Travis Kelce. Their meeting took place after Taylor attended the Kansas City Chiefs' game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, September 24.
"Mahomes praised her, stating, 'She's a good person,' during a press conference on Wednesday, September 27, preceding the Chiefs' upcoming game against the New York Jets this Sunday. Additionally, he acknowledged Trav's statement, expressing his intention to respect their privacy and focus on other matters."
In a previous conversation, Mahomes playfully expressed doubt about Kelce's calm proclamation that Swift would be present at their game. However, his skepticism was quickly refuted.
Prior to the press conference, 33-year-old Kelce revealed on his "New Heights" podcast that he intends to honor his and Swift's privacy moving forward. He acknowledged that Swift is not in the media spotlight as much as he is, given his weekly show and appearances on other NFL players' shows during the season. Kelce further emphasized his enjoyment of life, particularly during the weekend in question.
