Taylor Swift Allegedly Curses During Kansas City Chiefs Game

Taylor Swift passionately reacts as she witnesses Travis Kelce's tumble during the intense Kansas City Chiefs versus New England Patriots game on December 17 Her fiery outburst captures the intensity and dedication of both the star and the team

During an away game against the New England Patriots, Taylor Swift watched her boyfriend Travis Kelce play for the Kansas City Chiefs with great enthusiasm. However, she was dismayed to see him being pushed around on the field. In the midst of the December 17th game, Kelce, 34, was knocked to the ground by a Patriots player, preventing him from catching the ball in the endzone. Swift, also 34, was captured on jumbotron footage shouting "F–k", expressing her frustration at the lack of a pass interference call by the referees.

Swift watched the Sunday game from a private box at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, dressed in a gray team hoodie and cozy beanie. She was joined by her dad, Scott, pal Alana Haim, backup singer Melanie Nyema, stylist Ashley Avignone, and Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Swift had previously performed her entire three-and-a-half hour concert at Gillette in May, despite the rain, describing the weather in an Instagram post as "a full-on deluge that never let up."

During the game on Sunday, a quote from Swift about Gillette Stadium was displayed on the jumbotron: "Gillette Stadium is the most joyful place on Earth," it read as Swift appeared in the photo. This is not the first time Swift has been to a stadium to support Kelce. She made her first appearance at a Chiefs game in September at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. Although some fans thought it was her first date with Kelce, Swift clarified in her TIME Person of the Year cover story that they were already a couple at that time.

Swift has regularly been attending Kelce’s games and has chosen to ignore any criticism from the media regarding the attention she receives. “I don’t know how they know which suite I’m in. There’s a camera located a long distance away and it’s impossible to know when or if I’m being filmed. I’m just there to support Travis. I have no control over how often I appear on camera and potentially annoy some people,” she explained to TIME.

Swift used to lead a very private life away from the public eye, but her relationship with Kelce has changed that. "Being in a public relationship means we support each other in front of others, and we're not shy about it,” she explained. “It's the opposite of going to great lengths to keep our relationship secret. We're just happy and proud of each other."

At the last game before Sunday's, Swift was seen supporting the Chiefs, who suffered a tough loss to the Buffalo Bills on December 10. She made headlines when commentator Tony Romo initially referred to her as “Kelce’s wife” before correcting himself.

"Wait, not yet," fellow commentator Jim Nantz added. "Do you have some insider information that we don't know?"

Later that week, Swift celebrated her 34th birthday on Wednesday, December 13th. A source informed We that Kelce wanted to "organize the best party possible" for her, and money was "no issue."
