"I enjoyed being on the Fox competition show, Josie and the Pussycats star. Despite removing myself on the second day of training, I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. The show was enjoyable, and I had a great time with the cast. It also helped me become stronger as a person. Overall, it was a fantastic show to be a part of."

Reid expressed that she discovered a greater inner strength than she had expected and mentioned that she would contemplate returning to the show, given that she had sufficient time to prepare. She elaborated that she received the show with only three days' notice, while others had a generous six months to work on it.
During the season 2 premiere of the show, Reid's journey got off to a rough start. The former Ghosts actress tried to bring in a pack of cigarettes after the group's initial task, and was scolded for it. She surrendered two packs of cigarettes, but was taken aback to discover a third one in her pocket, stating that she was unaware it was there.
Furthermore, Reid likened herself to a "fractured bird" and expressed her desire to develop a tougher exterior and not let others affect her as much.
"I frequently face bullying and similar challenges, and my intention is to improve myself and become a more resilient individual. People often make remarks like, 'She has aged drastically, she looks awful, she appears terrible.' Additionally, the negative and distressing content on social media is overwhelming," she expressed.
Reid has consistently been open about her battles with addiction over the years. In 2008, she sought help by attending rehab and successfully completed a 60-day program.
