Is there a Sword of the Demon Hunter release date yet?

On November 22, 2023, the news broke that The Sword of the Demon Hunter series will premiere in 2024.

In addition to the release of the last part of the series, fans were treated to an extra surprise. Futabasha, the publisher of the web novel, unveiled a poster announcing that the anime adaptation would be hitting our screens in 2024. However, an official release date has not been confirmed yet.

Based on Moto’o Nakanishi’s original light novel, Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentōshō, the series is set in Japan’s Edo period.

Skilled swordsman Jinta has dedicated his life to protecting a priestess in a remote mountain village. When evil demons threaten the shrine and the village's peace, Jinta is tasked with hunting them down in the forest. What seems like a simple demon slaying story takes a surprising turn when Jinta meets a demon that reveals a puzzling mystery. This sparks a 170-year quest that sees Jinta traveling through time and space, hunting demons as he goes.
