Sweet Gestures: Penelope Surprises Pregnant Kourtney Kardashian with Bed Rest Bouquet

Kourtney Kardashian was touched by a sweet gift from her daughter Penelope.

On Sunday, October 22, the 44-year-old Kardashian shared a photo on Instagram showcasing the beautiful flowers that were given to her by 11-year-old Penelope. The image revealed a bouquet of purple flowers delicately wrapped in paper and placed on a cozy rug. Captioning the post, Kardashian expressed, "Flowers from my daughter." Kardashian, who co-parents Penelope along with her sons Mason, 13, and Reign, 8, from her previous relationship with Scott Disick, shared this heartfelt moment with her followers.

Penelope presented her mother with a beautiful floral arrangement as a gesture of support while her sister, Kourtney, is on bed rest during her pregnancy with husband Travis Barker. Prior to this, Penelope had already gifted her mother a lovely bouquet of tulips accompanied by a handwritten note on October 19th. The card expressed Penelope's love for her mother and wished her a speedy recovery.

Kim Kardashian shared that her sister was unable to attend her 43rd birthday celebration on Friday, October 20th, as advised by her doctor. Kim expressed her gratitude for all the birthday wishes and mentioned that she plans to join Kourtney in bed rest next week for a special picnic. This was revealed in an Instagram post on Sunday.

Kourtney's pregnancy is considered high-risk due to her age, although she has not discussed her bed rest situation.

In September, Kourtney revealed that she underwent an "urgent fetal surgery" to save her baby's life. She later shared her experience in her cover story for Vanity Fair Italia. She confessed, "It was terrifying." In this month's issue, she explained, "Unlike my previous three pregnancies, this time I was being closely monitored by a different group of doctors who placed many restrictions on me during the first few months. No workouts, no Pilates, no caffeine, no plane trips, and even no sex! All of this caution made me feel a bit fearful because I had never had to be so careful before. It took me some time to let go of that fear."

According to Kourtney, she entered a phase of self-neglect and ceased to be concerned about potential complications during her pregnancy after the surgery. Now, she engages in daily conversations with her baby, maintains a positive attitude, stays focused, and offers numerous prayers. She expresses a strong sense of fortune and gratitude.

The reality star is anticipated to deliver their baby sometime between November and January, coinciding with Barker, who is currently taking a break from his Blink-182 tour. In addition to their impending arrival, the drummer is also a parent to his 20-year-old son, Landon, and 17-year-old daughter, Alabama, whom he shares with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler. Furthermore, he is a paternal figure to Moakler's eldest daughter, Atiana, who is from her previous relationship with Oscar De La Hoya.
