Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello have ended their marriage after being together for seven years. The couple shared in a joint statement given to Page Six on Monday, July 17, that they have made the tough decision to divorce. Despite their love and care for each other, they kindly request privacy as they navigate this new chapter in their lives.

Vergara, aged 51, and Manganiello, aged 46, got married in November 2015. They got engaged almost a year prior to the wedding, after dating for only six months.

In March, the couple made an appearance together on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Hollywood. Three months earlier, Vergara publicly expressed her love for her husband on his birthday. Via Instagram in December 2022, she wrote, "Happy birthday, my love️. You're in for an incredible 2023."

Earlier this month, Manganiello took to Instagram to share a birthday message for Vergara. Captioning a blurry throwback photo of him and his wife, he wrote, "¡¡¡Feliz Cumpleaños Sofía!!!"

Commenters quickly began speculating in the comments section, questioning why Manganiello didn't post a more affectionate tribute to Vergara. "Am I the only one who doesn't like the way it sounds? 'Sofia' ... not even 'My love, My beloved wife,'" one Instagram user wrote. Another social media detective chimed in, saying, "Something seems off. The message feels cold, and he even shared two stories about his dog's birthday. Meanwhile, Sofia hasn't even said thank you."

Vergara continued to post numerous pictures from her vacation in Italy over the following days, but Manganiello was notably missing from all of them. On her actual birthday, July 10, she celebrated at Capri's Ristorante da Paolino, where the waiters serenaded her while she blew out the candles on her cake. Captioning a series of photos from the birthday dinner, Vergara expressed gratitude for having her best friends with her at her favorite restaurant on her favorite island.

Several days later, Vergara shared another set of pictures from the trip, this time showcasing a dinner outing with a friend in Ravello. Reflecting on the experience, she wrote, "When life gives you lemons, you come to Italy to squeeze them" on Saturday, July 15.

Shortly before announcing their breakup, Vergara shared multiple photos of herself in a blue leopard-print swimsuit, enjoying a refreshing drink on a sunny patio. She excitedly captioned the photos, "Last days of vacation! Even when you're feeling hot, I still love you, Ravello!"

Conversely, Manganiello's most recent social media post focused on the SAG-AFTRA strike. He expressed solidarity by sharing an image of a raised fist on Thursday, July 13.

Prior to meeting Manganiello, Vergara was married to Joe Gonzalez from 1991 to 1993. The former couple share son Manolo, 31.
