The coroner has announced Suzanne Somers' official cause of death, which occurred two weeks ago. The renowned actress succumbed to breast cancer that had spread to her brain, as indicated by her death certificate obtained on October 26 by The Blast. Additionally, the certificate highlights hypertension and hydrocephalus as contributing factors.
According to the documents, no autopsy was conducted on Somers after her death on October 15. However, a biopsy has confirmed the cause of her death.
Earlier this month, we confirmed that Somers passed away at the age of 76. Her longtime publicist, R. Couri Hay, stated, "Suzanne Somers peacefully passed away at home in the early morning hours of October 15th. She bravely fought against an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years. Suzanne was surrounded by her devoted husband Alan, her son Bruce, and her close family members."
The Three's Company star was initially diagnosed with skin cancer in her thirties. Later, in 2000, she faced a battle with breast cancer. Rather than undergoing chemotherapy, she decided to have a lumpectomy and pursue radiation therapy.

"In October 2018, Somers shared with Us that she had adopted a new standard of care. She made the conscious decision to avoid chemical toxins and instead focused on improving her diet by consuming only real and organic food. Her food choices include buttercream, sour cream, and cream cheese, all of which are sourced organically and free from hormones. Additionally, she prioritizes getting a full eight hours of sleep each night and does not rely on any pharmaceutical drugs. Earlier this year, Somers' husband, Alan Hamel, confirmed that her cancer had resurfaced. Hamel revealed that she has a history of living with cancer, having experienced two cases of hyperplasia in her 20s, which he described as a precursor to cancer."
Following her passing, Somers received an overwhelming outpouring of love, including a heartfelt tribute from her son, Bruce Somers Jr.
"In ways that surpass imagination, she soared to great heights. She advocated for those without a voice, posing questions that others hadn't even considered. She openly shared her struggles and shed light on potential solutions," Bruce, 57, began in a lengthy Instagram post on October 16, which coincided with Suzanne's 77th birthday. "To so many, she was a fearless warrior who expressed their deepest fears. She wasn't devoid of fear, but she confronted it gracefully so that we could all learn from her. She was a cherished friend, devoted wife, caring sister, beloved daughter, incredible entertainer, iconic figure, and a true legend. Yet to me, she was simply Mom. I had the privilege of being the only person who could call her that."
Joyce Dewitt, who co-starred with Suzanne on the popular show Three's Company, expressed her heartfelt condolences to Suzanne's family.
"I extend my deepest sympathies to Suzanne's family. They have a strong bond and support each other wholeheartedly. I can only begin to imagine the immense challenges they are facing during this time," DeWitt, 74, conveyed in a statement to Us on October 16. "I believe that Suzanne was embraced by angels and has now found solace in the profound wisdom that awaits each of us on the other side. My hope is that this knowledge brings comfort to her family as they navigate through this difficult period."
Suzanne is survived by her son, Bruce, whom she shared with first husband, Bruce Somers Sr. Her legacy will also be kept alive with her husband, Hamel.
