Sutton Stracke is finally opening up about a health scare she experienced during the season 13 reunion of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“I had a serious medical issue,” Sutton, who is 52 years old, revealed during an interview on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast on Sunday, March 10. She shared that host Andy Cohen quickly called for medics and she was taken to the hospital.
“I ended up in the emergency room with my dear friend Garcelle Beauvais by my side the whole time,” Sutton said gratefully. She expressed her deep appreciation for Garcelle's support during the ordeal.
Sutton shared that her hectic work schedule was a major factor in her health scare. She admitted to experiencing exhaustion and dehydration due to her frequent travels between New York and L.A. for her new company, Sutton Brands. In addition, she had to deal with a severe case of bronchitis, which made her recovery even more challenging. She had to take a break from her busy life for about 10 days, which was tough for her. It took approximately six weeks for Sutton to fully recover and feel like herself again.
In a sneak peek of the RHOBH reunion airing on Wednesday, March 13, Sutton is shown gasping for air and holding onto Garcelle, 57, after a surprise appearance by former Bravo star Kathy Hilton.
"Can we get someone here?" Garcelle asks, while Andy, 55, observes that Sutton is visibly trembling.

Sutton quickly addressed fan speculation that her recent health scare was related to Kathy Hilton's arrival. She clarified to Page Six that her condition had nothing to do with Kathy, as they are good friends. In fact, Kathy was very concerned and supportive, checking on Sutton even after she left the emergency room. The entire cast also showed their support, checking in on her for several days. Sutton also expressed gratitude towards the production team, who accompanied her to the emergency room and provided unwavering support.
Sutton explained that although her ER trip was a “very scary moment” for her, it was also a good lesson to learn.
“It was a reality check for how I need to treat my body,” she said.
Sutton has been transparent about her health, sharing in season 13 of RHOBH that she has an “esophagus disorder.”
When Kyle Richards accused Sutton of having an eating disorder, Sutton strongly refuted the claims and tried to clarify her esophagus problem.
In a December 2023 episode, she mentioned, "I have trouble eating some foods. I was so sick for four days that I couldn't even swallow my saliva. And to make it worse, my friend was teasing me."
The last part of the RHOBH reunion will be shown on Bravo this Wednesday, March 13th, at 8 p.m. ET.
