Jenna Bush Hager received misinformation as there are no plans for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift to purchase a house together. This speculation was discussed on the October 16 episode of Today With Hoda and Jenna, where Hager, aged 41, shared this news about Kelce, aged 34, who currently lives in Kansas City, Missouri.
Hager stated that she had received information from a friend who is acquainted with realtors suggesting that the Chiefs tight end and Swift, aged 33, could potentially be in the process of purchasing a house. While Hager made it clear that this was purely speculative and not officially confirmed by NBC news, her cohost Hoda Kotb reminded her that they were employees of a news organization.
In defense, Hager clarified, "I specifically mentioned 'might be!'"
As speculation surrounding Kelce and Swift's romance persists, it is worth clarifying that the pair are not currently in the process of purchasing a shared residence. Nevertheless, eyewitnesses caught sight of the athlete and the singer interlocking hands for the very first time while out on a romantic evening in New York City on October 14th.
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift were seen together after their unexpected appearances on the season 49 premiere of Saturday Night Live. Swift introduced her friend and collaborator Ice Spice's second musical performance, while Kelce participated in a sketch that mocked the NFL's obsession with Swift attending his games.
The public's interest in Swift and Kelce's dynamic started last month when the singer attended the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Chicago Bears game at Arrowhead Stadium on September 24. During the game, she conversed with Travis' mother, Donna Kelce, and was later seen walking with Travis throughout the stadium.
Since then, Swift has continued to support Travis at the Chiefs vs. New York Jets game at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on October 1, and the Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos game at Arrowhead on October 12.
Despite publicly expressing support for Travis' football career, Swift and Travis are reportedly taking things slow, according to an exclusive source from Us last month.
"The couple has gone on a few dates, and Taylor is completely infatuated with him," the insider revealed. "At the moment, it's not a serious relationship, and Taylor is just enjoying herself. However, there's potential for things to become more serious as they grow closer each day."
Swift and Travis may not be in a hurry, but it appears that the world eagerly anticipates their relationship progressing further. Just before Hager enthusiastically discussed their intentions to search for a house, Sportscaster Al Michaels faced difficulties when referring to Swift while commentating on the October 12 Chiefs game. "Observing is [Travis']... well, currently... his close friend and girlfriend, Taylor Swift," he stated on air, pausing intermittently.
During the recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Michaels, a 78-year-old, was questioned about a viral moment. When host Jimmy Kimmel humorously questioned whether Swift was simply a good friend or his girlfriend, Michaels had an interesting response. He shared that he had initially planned to label Swift with a distinct title.
"Do you realize the kind of reaction a game like that will stir up online? And you know what I originally wanted to say?" he inquired. "Fiancée."
Michaels playfully admitted that he decided against using that word "because I was afraid Travis would retaliate after the game."
