Reilly, Step Brothers delves into the lives of Brennan and Dale, two grown men who find themselves living together under the same roof when their parents marry each other.

Ferrell is renowned for his comedic talent, having played memorable roles in Elf and Anchorman. He was last seen portraying the CEO of Mattel in Barbie. Reilly, on the other hand, collaborated with Ferrell in the film Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.

Reunited on stage, the dynamic Step Brothers duo effortlessly performed their iconic song from the movie, receiving an extra boost from the presence of Hip Hop icon Snoop Dogg.

At the Best Night of Your Life benefit concert, held on October 23, 2023, in honor of Snoop Dogg's surprise birthday tribute, the stage was graced by none other than the Step Brothers stars, Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly.

To commemorate the star's 52nd birthday, the group presented a rendition of the song "Boats 'N Hoes," famously showcased in the movie Step Brothers. The accompanying music video cleverly incorporates wordplay related to sailing and intimate encounters, making it a popular reference at festivities and aquatic getaways.

"In honor of Mr. Snoop Dogg's birthday yesterday, let us now joyfully serenade the greatest rapper in the world with a rendition of 'Happy Birthday'," Reilly's voice resonates in one of Snoop Dogg's social media posts.

The duo started serenading Dogg, leading into a performance of Boats 'N Hoes. Afterwards, the three of them proceeded to sing Snoop's popular track Gin and Juice from 1994.

"Legends in action. Great to see," a Twitter user commented in response to the concert video, with another expressing, "This is priceless. I hope there's a Step Brothers 2 in the future."

"Legends…. It's such a joy to witness them united… the fortunate ones who experienced their live performance at that country concert," replied another.

As of now, the possibility of a sequel to Step Brothers 2 remains uncertain.

"We have had numerous brilliant ideas throughout the years. I genuinely wish to avoid becoming too old to pursue them. It would be rather disheartening if we were still engaged in such endeavors at the age of 60," Reilly shared with IndieWire in 2018.
