Stassi Schroeder stumbled upon her own version of the Tortured Poets Department while wandering the tough streets of West Hollywood.

During the latest episode of her podcast, "Stassi," which aired on Wednesday, April 24, the 35-year-old former Vanderpump Rules star couldn't contain her excitement about Taylor Swift's latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. She especially praised one specific track.

Schoeder shared, "I want to talk about my absolute favorite song that I've chosen to represent my entire personality." She excitedly revealed that the song is "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" and she has already listened to it a whopping 78 times. Schoeder expressed her desire for the song to be her anthem.

Despite praising the song's lyrics, Schoeder confessed that it doesn't quite align with her current state of zen.

Schroeder shared, "Right now, the lyrics don't really resonate with me. I'm not in a place where I feel the need to prove anything to anyone. I'm not striving to make a comeback or prove a point. I don't feel like I've been wronged or hurt by anyone. I don't feel rejected."

The song she was part of gained popularity, especially the line “You wouldn’t last an hour in the asylum where they raised me,” which became a viral sensation and inspired many Internet memes. Over time, the song started to evoke feelings of nostalgia for Stassi.

When analyzing the lyrics, she noticed a pattern of a woman being caged, trained, and then labeled as crazy once she transformed into what she was trained to be. She found it interesting and thought it was Bravo-worthy.

Schroeder was a cast member on the first eight seasons of Vanderpump Rules on Bravo. However, she was let go in June 2020 after making racially insensitive remarks about her fellow castmate, Faith Stowers.

"Being on a reality show on Bravo comes with some training," Schroeder shared. "I'm personalizing this song to fit my life at the moment and making it work for me. I'm figuring out ways to connect with it."

Stassi Schroeder claimed that cast members on Vanderpump Rules are encouraged for their bad behavior.

"You're trapped in a situation where you're encouraged to do or say negative things," she explained. "You get rewarded for behaving badly. You get rewarded with more time in front of screens and more attention. That's just how it goes."
