Squid Game: The Challenge players got “booted off” show for hooking up
Stephen, also known as Player 243 from the Gganbu Gang, has recently shared on TikTok that several participants were disqualified from Squid Game: The Challenge for engaging in romantic relationships during the pre-game quarantine period.
Stephen quickly became a beloved favorite among fans due to his touching interactions with the oldest player in the dorm, Player 232 (Rick). Unfortunately, he did not advance to the final, as both he and Rick were eliminated by Player 229 (Phalisia) during the jack-in-the-box test. However, this gives him the opportunity to share exclusive behind-the-scenes secrets and insights about his experience on the show, including a recent Q&A where he answered fans' questions.
When asked for more tea by a fan, Stephen responded: "I have a bit of tea – before the show began, we were all isolated in our hotel rooms. We couldn't socialize or communicate with one another.
"Several individuals were caught sneaking into each other's rooms and engaging in romantic encounters, resulting in their removal from the show.
"Chase and I also snuck into each other's rooms and were caught. We almost faced removal from the show, but the producers decided to let us stay since we came to the show as a couple."
The identity of the contestant who was expelled from the show is currently unknown, and producers have not yet verified this claim. However, according to one Redditor, it is possible that the two players who vanished from the lineup between Episodes 3 and 4 may be the ones. More information on this topic can be found here.
Squid Game: The Challenge Episodes 1-9 are now streaming on Netflix, and the final episode will be released next week. Be sure to explore our additional coverage below.

As a Gen Z fan, I am quite surprised and intrigued by the recent revelations about the romantic encounters that led to contestants being expelled from Squid Game: The Challenge. The show has captivated audiences with its intense and thrilling challenges, but the behind-the-scenes drama adds another layer of intrigue to the series.
The fact that certain players were disqualified for engaging in romantic relationships during the pre-game quarantine period raises questions about the show's rules and regulations. While it is understandable that the producers would want to maintain a fair and competitive environment, it seems a bit harsh to expel contestants for simply forming romantic connections. After all, the show is supposed to be a game, and human emotions and connections are part of life.
