A new crossover fan poster featuring Kraven The Hunter and the Marvel Cinematic Universe has emerged, depicting a scenario where Tom Holland's Spider-Man is unable to evade the clutches of Aaron Taylor-Johnson's Kraven. Holland, who portrays Spider-Man in the MCU, has previously appeared in a standalone trilogy as well as various collaborative films. With Spider-Man 4 in the works at Marvel, his presence in the franchise is far from over. Taylor-Johnson, having kickstarted his superhero movie career in the MCU by portraying Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron, is now slated to star in Sony's Spider-Man Universe as Kraven The Hunter. A talented Marvel fan took it upon themselves to envision a scene where Taylor-Johnson's character successfully captures Holland's Spider-Man, resulting in a captivating fan poster that was shared on Instagram by digital artist @agtdesign.
The fan art showcases the possibility of a meeting between Holland's Spider-Man and Taylor-Johnson's Kraven the Hunter, two characters with a rich history of fascinating stories in the comics. This comes after Taylor-Johnson's Kraven The Hunter revealed a comic-accurate costume in the first official poster for Sony's Spider-Man Universe's upcoming movie. The fan art brings this potential encounter to life, leaving fans excited about the various ways in which their meeting could unfold.
Could Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Kraven The Hunter Appear In The MCU?
Spider-Man and Kraven the Hunter have not crossed paths in the MCU yet. However, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who previously portrayed Quicksilver, cannot take on the role of Kraven in the MCU. Nevertheless, there is an alternative for him to star alongside Holland in a Spider-Man movie. Marvel Studios is currently exploring the Multiverse Saga, as evidenced by Tom Hardy's Venom from Sony's Spider-Man Universe briefly appearing in the MCU. Unfortunately, Venom left the Marvel Studios universe before having the chance to interact with Holland's Spider-Man.
Taylor-Johnson's Kraven could potentially join the MCU through the multiverse, allowing him to have a significant role. The ending of Spider-Man: No Way Home sets up Holland's Spider-Man 4 to adapt the iconic storyline Kraven's Last Hunt, where Kraven relentlessly pursues and seemingly kills the hero. This would leave Peter Parker alone in the MCU, as the events of Doctor Strange's spell made everyone forget him, and without access to Stark technology. The result would be a thrilling and intense film as Kraven hunts him through New York, with Peter having no one to rely on.
However, Marvel Studios may face challenges incorporating Taylor-Johnson's Kraven due to his previous roles. In that case, Holland's Spider-Man could cross over to Sony's Spider-Man Universe to encounter Kraven. Sony has already hinted at this possibility in the trailer for Kraven The Hunter, while also teasing Spider-Man's presence through the appearance of multiple spiders. As there seems to be no Spider-Man in Kraven's world, Holland's version of the hero could make an appearance through the multiverse in a sequel, allowing the two adversaries to finally face off on the big screen.
