Minutes after The Academy announced that The Boy and the Heron had won Best Animated Feature at the annual awards show, Moore took to social media to express his thoughts. He felt that Across the Spider-Verse was "robbed" of the award.

Moore made his debut as Miles Morales in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature in 2019.
The sequel to the movie, Across the Spider-Verse, was released in 2023. It follows Miles as he travels across different universes and meets a group of Spider-People tasked with safeguarding the multiverse.
Although the film didn't win an Oscar, it was well-received by critics and also won awards such as Best Animated Motion Picture at the Producers Guild of America awards on February 25.

"What I can share with you about Beyond the Spider-Verse is that it's going to be even better than Into and Across the Spider-Verse, and I will definitely be a part of it," Moore revealed in a recent interview with Variety. Moore expressed his gratitude for the chance to voice Miles, stating that no matter how many sequels the franchise produces, he will always be thankful for the opportunity.
