Sophia Bush and Ashlyn Harris attended the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner together on April 27, marking their first red carpet appearance as a couple.

Sophia looked stunning in a strapless black gown adorned with gold details, while Ashlyn looked sharp in a black suit paired with an embellished jacket.

Colin Jost is set to host the annual event this year, aiming to raise funds for WHCA scholarships and recognize the recipients of the WHCA’s journalism awards. President Joe Biden will be in attendance and is prepared to be playfully teased by the Saturday Night Live star, following tradition.

This will be Bush's first time attending the event with Harris, who is 38 years old. Although Bush has attended the event in the past, this marks her first appearance alongside Harris. The One Tree Hill actress publicly confirmed her relationship with Harris just days before the WHCD in an essay for Glamour. In the essay, she reflected on the end of her marriage to Grant Hughes and openly shared that she identifies as queer.

Bush was married to Hughes, 42, for a little more than a year before she filed for divorce in August 2023. She was romantically linked to Harris the following fall.

“It took me confronting a lot of things, what felt like countless sessions of therapy, and some prodding from loved ones, but eventually I asked Ashlyn to have a non-friend-group hang to talk about it,” Bush wrote. “And that meal was four and a half hours long and truly one of the most surreal experiences of my life thus far. In hindsight, maybe it all had to happen slowly and then suddenly all at once. Maybe it was all fated. Maybe it really is a version of invisible string theory.”

Bush made it clear that they only started their relationship after both of them had ended their previous marriages. Harris was previously married to Ali Krieger, with whom she has two children, Sloane (3) and Ocean (20 months).

Following the news of Bush and Harris' romance last fall, Bush had to deal with false accusations, threats, and being labeled as a home-wrecker. Bush firmly stated that all these claims are completely untrue.

She wrote in her Glamour cover story that her partners have known her preferences as long as she has. She clarified that she did not leave her marriage due to a sudden realization of wanting to be with women, but rather after a year of intense self-reflection and vulnerability.

Ashlyn recently made her relationship with Bush public on Instagram, expressing her support for her partner. She shared a photo of them together at the White House Correspondents’ Garden Brunch in Washington, D.C., captioning it with "Proud of you, babe."
