Sophia Bush Shuts Down Ashlyn Harris Engagement Speculation After Cuddly Paris Pics: 'I Have No News for You'

Sophia Bush, 41, wants to clear up any rumors about her being engaged to Ashlyn Harris. Despite the cozy pictures of them in Paris, the One Tree Hill alum took to her Instagram Stories on Saturday, May 25 to set the record straight. In a selfie, she showed her bare ring finger and wrote, “I hear the internet is being wild? Y’all ️I have no ‘news’ for you.”

Engagement rumors sparked when Bush playfully concealed her left hand in Harris' jacket in a picture of them in front of the Eiffel Tower. On her Story post, Bush jokingly said, "But wouldn't you put your hands all up in her jacket if you could?? (To be clear, you can't because boundaries, but I'll do it for you because I'm just generous like that)."

In another photo angle, Bush shared a cuddly moment with Harris, 38, captioning it, "I just wanna squeeeeeeeeeze her… It's new for y'all to see me so happy and so fully myself. It's new for me too. How lucky am I."

During their Paris trip, social media users noticed something interesting in a group photo with actress Beanie Feldstein and composer Benj Pasek. Bush cleverly placed heart emojis over her ring finger while posing with Harris.

Sophia Bush shared a photo on Instagram showing her left hand without her engagement ring. She mentioned that she will try to keep the emojis more symmetrical in the future. She added, "I hope TikTok can relax now. Travel on, friends."

The excitement began on Friday when Bush and Harris talked about their experiences in Paris. During one sightseeing moment, the soccer star put her arm around Bush's waist. In another photo, the couple, along with Feldstein, Pasek, and TikTok influencer Dylan Mulvaney, posed in front of the Eiffel Tower.

Interestingly, Bush's hand happened to be hidden in all the pictures.

Bush and Harris have been romantically linked since October 2023, after both of them ended their marriages. They first met at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in June and developed a friendship, which later turned into a romantic relationship. Bush filed for divorce from Hughes in August 2023, while Harris filed to end her marriage with Krieger two months later.

In April, Bush publicly came out as queer.

She shared in a Glamour essay, "I finally feel like I can breathe. I don’t think I can explain how profound that is. I feel like I was wearing a weighted vest for who knows how long."

Bush continued, "I hadn’t realized how heavy it was until I finally just put it down. This might sound crazy — but I think other people in trauma recovery will get it — I am taking deep breaths again."

Harris praised Bush for being open about her experiences, sharing the Glamour cover on her Instagram Stories with a message of support. They have two children together, daughter Sloane, 3, and son Ocean, 1.

The couple then attended the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner together, making their red carpet debut the following day.
