Skims has scored a major partnership. Kim Kardashian took to Instagram on Monday, October 30, to reveal that her shapewear brand is now the official underwear sponsor for the NBA, WNBA, and USA Basketball.
In a press release on the NBA website, Kardashian, 43, expressed her great pride in Skims' partnership with the NBA, citing it as a testament to Skims' increasing impact on culture. She emphasized that through this collaboration, Skims and the NBA will bring people from various backgrounds together through the mediums of fashion, sports, and talent, and she is excited to witness the success of this partnership.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver also shared his enthusiasm, stating that they are eager to provide NBA fans and Skims users with distinctive experiences, fresh offerings, and high-quality products through their partnership.
According to the press release, fans will witness the partnership's manifestation during various events in the NBA All-Star and NBA In-Season Tournament.
This significant business maneuver follows Skims' recent venture into men's clothing. The company announced this development through a campaign involving renowned athletes such as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander from the Oklahoma City Thunder, Nick Bosa from the San Francisco 49ers, and soccer legend Neymar Jr.

The pro athletes showcased their fit bodies in various boxers from the Skims Mens Cotton, Stretch, and Sport collections. According to a press release on October 23, the Cotton line is made from a soft cotton blend with built-in recovery for comfortable everyday wear. The Stretch capsule is made from a maximum-stretch fabric that will never lose its shape. The Sport collection, on the other hand, is designed specifically to enhance performance and is perfect for Bosa, Neymar, and Gilgeous-Alexander.
Gilgeous-Alexander, 25, wore a white pair of briefs and later changed into a black option while playing basketball. Known for his fashion sense, the Canadian athlete attended the 2023 Met Gala in Thom Browne and accessorized his look with gold necklaces and diamond earrings. Bosa, 26, opted for fitted gray underwear and completed his outfit with a pendant chain. He also modeled a gunmetal-colored set that included a luxuriously soft T-shirt.
Neymar, at the age of 31, demonstrated his affection for soccer as he kissed a soccer ball. He also showcased his olive green Skims, along with his extensive upper body tattoo collection.

In the June 2023 issue, Kardashian, who is associated with Skims, revealed that the brand achieved a remarkable $500 million in revenue in 2022. The shapewear line witnessed remarkable growth as its valuation soared to $3.2 billion after securing $240 million in new funding, according to Bloomberg.
