Shocking Twists: Molly Recast on 'General Hospital' Once Again After a Troubling Incident

Haley Pullos, long-time actress on 'General Hospital', undergoes a recast for her character Molly Lansing-Davis after a DUI arrest Experience the unexpected changes within the iconic soap opera's cast

Brooke Anne Smith has replaced Haley Pullos on General Hospital, adding a fresh face to the series. Previously played by Mia Kriegel, Molly Lansing-Davis will now be portrayed by Smith. The 39-year-old actress made her debut on July 19, following the departure of Pullos.

Pullos, aged 25, first portrayed the character of Molly in 2009. In April, she revealed to Soap Opera Digest that she would be departing from General Hospital due to an unfortunate automobile accident. Although she assured everyone that she was doing fine, she needed some time to recover and promised to return as soon as possible.

Fast forward two months, and we have confirmed that Pullos is facing charges of two felonies and a misdemeanor following a near-fatal car crash. On June 28, the Los Angeles County District Attorney officially charged the actress with one felony count of driving under the influence of alcohol and causing injury, one felony count of driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent and causing injury, and one misdemeanor count of hit-and-run driving resulting in property damage.

Pullos denied all three charges leveled against her. As stated in a police report, Pullos drove her car against the flow of traffic on a Pasadena highway, resulting in a head-on collision with another vehicle traveling at a speed of 60 miles per hour. Prior to this incident, the soap star was also implicated in a hit-and-run accident.

During the time of the incident, the Pasadena Fire Department shared via Facebook, "Emergency crews responded to a serious car accident at the 134 Freeway/Orange Grove exit early this morning. Two vehicles were involved, with one individual trapped as a result of the head-on collision. Our teams successfully extricated one person from their vehicle and provided medical assistance and transportation to the hospital for both parties involved. The cause for the accident remains unknown, but it serves as a crucial reminder to adhere to speed limits, abstain from alcohol consumption while driving, and refrain from being distracted by passengers or mobile phones."

Prior to Pullos' upcoming preliminary hearing on Thursday, July 27, she was served with a lawsuit by the other driver involved in the collision, Courtney Wilder. According to TMZ, Wilder alleges in the legal action that Pullos was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and marijuana.

Wilder has accused Pullos of causing enduring injuries to his person and extensive harm to his vehicle. As of now, Pullos has not provided a response to these allegations.
