Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s previous statements regarding the state of their relationship are resurfacing now that news of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills couple’s split has emerged. In April, the 54-year-old Bravo star discussed with Page Six how speculation about their separation arose after photographs of her without her wedding ring surfaced, taken as she exited the gym.
"A: I haven't been wearing my large diamond ring lately due to the increasing crime rates, which makes me uncomfortable. And, B: I had just finished a weightlifting session at the gym, so I was surprised that it caused such a commotion," shared Richards at the time. "Previously, when faced with similar situations, I would cry and feel devastated. However, now I have a different attitude. I'm ready to face it head-on and see what challenges lie ahead." Although Richards assured that her relationship with Umansky was intact, she expressed her reluctance in revisiting the drama when the thirteenth season of RHOBH airs later this year.
"I clearly don't appreciate this, as it will only result in more speculation, false narratives, and gossip when the show airs six months from now. However, I have entered a phase of complete indifference towards such matters. That much is certain," she stated.
Richards and Umansky, who tied the knot in 1996, are blessed with three daughters: Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15. Additionally, Richards has a daughter named Farrah Aldjufrie, 34, from her previous marriage to Guraish Aldjufrie.

Farrah dismissed the stories about her mom and stepfather attending the same event in April, saying, "This is nothing new. People always try to turn something into a story. After everything we've been through, who even cares anymore?"
Umansky denied rumors of a divorce between him and Richards, clarifying that the Bravo cameras had captured the conversation. He expressed his frustration with the girls discussing the story on Housewives, turning it into a storyline. Umansky acknowledged that there are always stories circulating, but he and Kyle would handle it accordingly. He expressed disappointment that his costars had made it a bigger issue on the show. Umansky emphasized that being on reality TV requires developing a tough attitude.
A reliable source informed us on Monday, July 3, that the couple has been living separately for some time now, but they continue to reside together. The insider mentioned that they maintain a friendly relationship as they navigate their future plans.
After a few hours, Richards and Umansky reiterated that they have not yet initiated divorce proceedings, recognizing that they are currently facing the most difficult phase of their marriage.
"We acknowledge that this year has been difficult for us, posing unique challenges to our marriage. However, we want to emphasize our deep love and respect for each other. Neither of us has engaged in any wrongdoing. Despite being public figures, we kindly request for our personal issues to be dealt with privately. While speculation may be entertaining, we urge you not to fabricate false narratives for sensationalism. We sincerely appreciate the love and support that we have received. Kyle & Mauricio."
