Lisa Marie Presley’s official cause of death has been revealed.
Lisa Marie, the sole daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, passed away due to complications arising from small bowel obstruction, as confirmed by the autopsy report received by We on Thursday, July 13. According to the report, the obstruction was a result of adhesions formed after undergoing bariatric surgery several years ago, leading to a strangulated small bowel. The report quotes the deputy medical examiner, Juan M. Carillo, providing this information.
The summary indicates that Lisa Marie experienced abdominal pain prior to losing consciousness and being hurried to the hospital. During her time there, medical professionals discovered that she had a significantly swollen abdomen and severe metabolic acidosis.
According to the autopsy report, Lisa Marie had therapeutic amounts of oxycodone in her bloodstream, as well as quetiapine metabolite and buprenorphine with associated metabolites. However, these substances were determined to have no role in her death. Consequently, Lisa Marie's passing was classified as natural.

After Lisa Marie passed away, Riley and Priscilla found themselves in a contentious legal dispute regarding the late musician's trust. The trust had designated the actress from Daisy Jones and the Six as the sole trustee. In May, their case was resolved, with Riley successfully obtaining her position as the sole trustee. According to a source, Riley and Priscilla have now found peace in their relationship following the highly stressful ordeal involving Lisa Marie's trust and estate. Despite the back and forth, they were able to reach a compromise that satisfies them both.
As part of the settlement, Riley will pay her grandmother a $1 million lump sum as well as $400,000 in legal fees, per documents obtained by the New York Times in June.
